Pounce. If the acid snapper moves at least 30 feet straight toward a creature and then hits it with a claw attack on the same turn, that target must succeed on a DC 13 Strength saving throw or be knocked prone. If the target is prone, the acid snapper can make one bite attack against it as a bonus action.
Pack tactics. Acid snappers have advantage on attack rolls against an enemy if at least one of the acid snappers allies is within 5ft of the acid snapper, and the ally isn’t incapacitated.
Bite. Melee Weapon Attack: +6 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 15 (2d10 + 4) piercing damage. The target must make a DC 17 CON saving throw, if they fail they take 1d6 poison damage, and are poisoned.
Claw. Melee Weapon Attack: +6 to hit, one target, 1d6 +1 slashing damage.
Acid Splash. Long ranged attack: +5 to hit, one target, 1d8 acid damage.
Description
Stalking the swamps these pack predators ambush larger creatures, and work together to take them down. They hunt as a team, led by the largest of the pack, who functions as the leader. They average at 3-5 feet tall. 6 ft is the tallest they get. These creatures will hunt things like stegosaurus, feats on them, and then not hunt for a week or so. Their slimy scaled skin makes it hard to pierce. They are most famous for their acidic spit, which they use to melt the flesh of their prey. Their bite is venomous and very powerful. They are somewhat cowardly though and if a large enough portion of the group is taken down, the rest scatter.
