Innate Spellcasting: The dragon's innate spellcasting ability is Intelligence (spell save DC 11, +3 to hit with spell attacks). The dragon can innately cast the following spells, requiring no material components:
At will: animate dead (only able to animate one corpse at a time)
Bite: Melee Weapon Attack: +5 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 7 (1d10 + 3) piercing damage plus 3 (1d6) necrotic damage.
Breath of Decay (Recharge 5-6): The dragon exhales a cone of vile energy in a 15-foot cone. Each creature in that area must make a DC 6 Constitution saving throw. Any creature that fails the save is brought down to 1 hitpoint. If the target is immune to necrotic damage, they instead are knocked back 10ft and take 2d10 force damage. Dead creatures (such as skeletons or other corpses) within the area of effect are also reanimated under the dragon’s control, but only at a quarter of their max hitpoints.
Impale: As a bonus action, the dragon can make a melee attack with its horn-cage against a creature within 10 feet. On a hit, the target takes 2d4 piercing damage and, if the creature is tiny, is grappled (escape DC 12). While grappled in this way, the target is restrained and takes 1d4 piercing damage at the start of each of its turns. The dragon can have up to three creatures grappled in its horn-cage simultaneously.
Trap: As an action, the dragon can attempt to trap a tiny creature grappled in its horn-cage. The target must make a DC 12 Strength saving throw. On a failed save, the creature is trapped within the horn-cage and cannot escape until the dragon releases it or until it succeeds on a Strength saving throw at the end of its turn. The creature has disadvantage on all attacks targeting the dragon, and the dragon’s AC is increased by 2 against said attacks.

Description
The Voidscale Dragon is a creature of malevolence and destruction, driven by an insatiable hunger for chaos and carnage. Unlike the more reclusive frostscale dragons and Stoneclaw Dragons or the benevolent Light Dragons, the Voidscale Dragon actively seeks out human civilizations to prey upon, leaving nothing but devastation in its wake.
The voidscale dragon is a massive dragon with 7 large horns on its head, each pointing upwards and meeting at one point, resembling a cage. They use this not only to impale enemies, but also to trap them and force them to watch as the dragon kills everyone in their town. They also sometimes use this horn-cage to store objects, such as large gemstones or other prized possessions of towns they raid, such as a historical monument or legendary treasure. Another way they use it is to bring skeletons from their lair to a target town, sometimes flying over the town and dropping them into the center of the town.
Their scales make them nearly invisible at night, which is when they often choose to attack. Because of this, they are nocturnal, sleeping inside of one of the many other miniature lairs they have set up, which are usually just large natural caves.
These dragons are typically solitary creatures, each ruling over its own domain of terror. They do not often interact with others of their kind, driven solely by their own destructive instincts. Despite their rarity, the mere presence of a Voidscale Dragon strikes fear into the hearts of those who hear of its existence.
to see a voidscale dragon is extremely rare, not only because there have only been 4 confirmed to be alive (This is because, thanks to their solitary nature, they hardly interact with each other, and therefore cannot increase their numbers), but also because they attack at night. they use the skeletons to lure out the bravest warriors, before swooping in and devouring them in an instant. They leave one alive, which they tap in their horn-cage while they destroy the town.
One of the most terrifying abilities of the Voidscale Dragon is its breath weapon, which has the power to reanimate the dead within its cone of influence in addition to obliterating anything inside of it. These undead minions serve as twisted guardians of the dragon's lair, further adding to the horror of its domain.
Voidscale Dragons require only a small amount of sustenance to survive, allowing them to sustain themselves on the remnants of their victims. They decorate their dens with the skeletal remains of those they have slain, creating displays of death and despair.
they are more often than not found outside of their den, searching for cities and towns to target. They have a very good memory and only return to the same city or town after 100 years, unless they failed to eliminate every humanoid living there.
They hold grudges and retreat when injured, only to return days later with a massive army of reanimated skeletons from their den. They do not attack only to feed, but more often for entertainment. They especially enjoy killing people with the skeleton or zombie of their friend or loved one.
Though attacks by Voidscale Dragons are rare due to their low numbers, when they do strike, the devastation they leave behind is unmatched. Their relentless pursuit of destruction knows no bounds, and they show no mercy towards any who stand in their way.
