Description
The Abyssal Stalker is a nightmarish, serpentine creature that slithers in the shadows with a body covered in thick, tar-like scales that seem to drink in the light around it. Its elongated frame moves with unsettling grace, supported by spindly limbs tipped with razor-sharp claws. Its head is angular and almost reptilian, with a grotesque, split jaw lined with needle-like teeth that constantly drip with dark ichor. Pale, lidless eyes glow faintly with a sickly yellow light, and rows of jagged spines run down its back, pulsing faintly as if alive with some inner, corrupt energy. The Abyssal Stalker emits a soft, almost melodic hum, a dissonant tune that claws at the edges of sanity. Its very presence radiates a suffocating aura of dread, and its movement through the darkness is nearly imperceptible—until it is too late.
- The Abyssal Stalker lurks in dark corners, blending into shadows and striking when the party is isolated.
- It will use Abyssal Howl to sow panic, then focus on frightened targets for maximum damage.
- In a protracted fight, it will retreat into the shadows and heal using Devour Shadow before returning to the fray.
