Bulging Flesh. The Colossus regenerates 9 HP at the start of each turn, unless it took fire damage since its last turn.
Exposed Head. While the body is covered in thick, amorphous flesh, the head is not as well protected. It takes full damage from bludgeoning, piercing, and slashing attacks, even if nonmagical.
Elastic Body. The Colossus' flesh is loose and filled with internal gases, making it highly elastic.
- Rebound Damage: Any melee attack within 10 ft. of the Colossus deals 2d4 force damage back to the attacker.
- Knockback: The attacker must succeed on a Strength saving throw (DC 15) or be pushed back 10 ft.
Unyielding. The first time the Colossus drops to 0 HP, it instead drops to 1 HP and gains invulnerability until the start of its next turn.
Death Burst. When the Colossus dies, it explodes, releasing necrotic energy.
- All creatures within 30 feet take 2d12 necrotic damage (Constitution saving throw DC 17 for half).
- Those who fail the save must roll 1d4 and suffer a random curse for 1d4 turns (they may repeat the save at the start of their turns):
- (1) Paralyzed
- (2) Blinded
- (3) Silenced
- (4) Stunned
Body Slam. Melee Weapon Attack: +9 to hit, reach 10 ft., one target.
- Hit: 19 (3d8 + 9) bludgeoning damage.
- If the target is Large or smaller, it must make a Strength saving throw (DC 15) or be knocked prone.
Rolling Charge. If the Zombie Colossus is prone or after using Body Slam, it can roll up to 50 ft in a straight line, hitting all creatures in its path.
- Each creature hit takes 2d12 bludgeoning damage.
- At the end of the movement, the Colossus stands up automatically.
Description
The Zombie Colossus C-1 represents the first evolution of a new and terrifying generation of undead, mutated due to exposure to the Z-1 virus. Unlike common zombies, the C-1 has undergone extreme alterations to its body structure, accumulating massive amounts of bulbous, misshapen flesh, drastically increasing its resilience. However, this excess mass has compromised its movements, making it extremely slow and clumsy.
Despite its sluggishness, the C-1 is a devastating threat. Its self-repairing ability makes it incredibly difficult to kill, while its elastic, gas-filled flesh allows it to repel melee attacks, reflecting part of the damage received. Furthermore, when struck down, the C-1 has one final, terrifying response: a necrotic explosion, releasing a wave of putrid energy that inflicts severe damage and debilitating curses on anyone caught within its radius.
The C-1’s only obvious weaknesses are fire, which prevents its regeneration, and its vulnerable head, the only part of its body not protected by thick layers of mutated flesh. Experienced fighters know that targeting the head is the most effective way to bring it down quickly, avoiding the risk of being overwhelmed by its massive form.
