Hold Breath. The cloud yak can hold its breath for 1 hour.
Beast of Burden. The cloud yak is considered to be one size larger for the purpose of determining its carrying capacity.
Sure-Footed. The cloud yak has advantage on Strength and Dexterity saving throws made against effects that would knock it prone.
Tempest Charge. If the cloud yak moves at least 20 feet straight toward a target and then hits it with a ram attack on the same turn, the target takes an extra 7 (2d6) bludgeoning damage plus 3 (1d6) lightning damage. Description
To anyone who may stumble upon this or creatures like this: This is a homebrew creature I made for my homebrew campaign setting and was never originally supposed to be made public. However, I decided to use a homebrew race from that same setting in my friend's Spelljammer campaign, and they requested to use some creatures I was okay with them using from that campaign setting in case we visit the planet or run into some intergalactic poaching ring. However, after a bit, we were made aware that even though I was in their campaign, D&D Beyond did not give them access to my homebrew creatures, so I am releasing duplicated copies of these creatures for them to use and keeping the originals so I can continue to update them as I see fit. So if anything seems janky, that's why.
The cloud yak is a large six-legged yak with a flat beaver-like tail. Instead of hooves, the cloud yak has large three-toed paws. When angry the cloud yak’s large horns glow and radiate electricity. Their fur color comes in various browns and blacks; on rare occasions, some are born white.
These creatures make their homes in the Bone Barrow's wild mountains. While living in the mountains, they often fly down to nearby plains or valleys to graze. These creatures tend to travel in herds. Druids and monks love to have these creatures as mounts and animal companions; however, finding wild cloud yaks is rare, and training one is hard. The best results come from raising them from birth.
