Surprise Attack. If the vhyper surprises a creature and hits it with an attack during the first round of combat, the target takes an extra 10 (3d6) damage from the attack.
Tail Spike Regrowth. The vhyper has 30 tail spikes. Used spikes regrow when the vhyper finishes a long rest.
Multiattack. The vhyper either makes one bite and one claw attack or three tail spike attacks.
Bite. Melee Weapon Attack: +7 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 9 (1d10 + 4) piercing damage, and if the target is a creature, it must succeed on a DC 17 Constitution saving throw or be paralyzed for 30 minutes.
Claw. Melee Weapon Attack: +7 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 11 (2d6 + 4) slashing damage.
Tail Spike. Ranged Weapon Attack: +6 to hit, reach 100/200 ft., one target. Hit: 7 (1d8 + 3) piercing damage, and if the target is a creature, it must succeed on a DC 17 Constitution saving throw or be poisoned for an hour.
