Violet Page is a 43yr old Westlander woman who discovered her magic very late in life. She was a servant in the Mages' Guild since the age of 6yrs, her mother was a servant Maid and she was preparing for life as a member of the Westlander Servant Class. She has a very keen mind and was drawn to study and this was fostered by the Mage her mother served. Corvane was a severe teacher and as it turned out a Necromancer. Before he was caught and subsequently put to death for his crimes, he had abused Violet, as some servants are by those in power. Violet had learned a great many things, especially how to treat a man, but she also learned a great deal about Arcana and History. Her mother was killed along with Corvane as she was corrupted by his ideas and had assisted him in his nefarious activities. Violet was removed and in the course of events allowed to serve as a Library assistant. She remained in the Mage Guild Library until she was 34yrs old, studying and working. Her magic was hidden by the blocks that Corvane had placed upon her mind until a chance encounter with the Arch Mage of the Will school who saw the evil done to her and removed the magical blocks in her mind. She was taught how to control her magic and even passed the testing for entry into the Mage Guild, but her aversion to practicing magic eventually re-asserted itself and she returned to being a Scholar instead. 

Violet has raven black hair and pale blue eyes and is a good looking woman, but she is very strict and severe and does not make friends easily. She is a loner most of the time, oreferring study and research over the outside world, which to her is full of evil and chaos. She is devoted to rooting out evil within the Mage Guild and has been a member of the Defence Against the Dark Arts League for several years. She has access to the Black Library (the reference library devoted to Dark Arts of magic) and she regularly submits herself to the DADAL Will School to maintain her clearance to study the Dark Arts in order to combat it.
