Multiattack. When taking the attack action, the violent dragon can make three attacks: two with its claws and one with its horns. One of the claw attacks can be replaced with a pin.
Claws. Melee Weapon Attack: +8 to hit, reach 5 ft., 1 target. Hit: 14 (2d8 + 5) slashing damage.
Horns. Melee Weapon Attack: +8 to hit, reach 5 ft., 1 target. Hit: 17 (2d12 + 5) piercing damage.
Pin. Melee Weapon Attack: +8 to hit, reach 5 ft., 1 target. Hit: 9 (1d8 + 5) bludgeoning damage. The hit creature has to succeed on a DC 16 strength saving throw or go prone on a failure, as well as being grappled until the end of the violent dragon's next turn, or until the violent dragon moves. The player may attempt to escape the pin by retrying the strength saving throw using their action.
Draconic Rage (Recharge 5-6). The violent dragon lets out a loud roar, instantly ending any charmed conditions on itself. Every creature within 30 feet of it have to make a DC 15 wisdom saving throw or be frightened by the violent dragon until the beginning of its next turn.
Omnipresent Anger. When the violent dragon makes a wisdom saving throw against a charm effect and doesn't have advantage on the roll, it can use its reaction to give itself advantage against that saving throw. If it already has advantage on the saving throw, it can use its reaction to gain a bonus to its saving throw equal to twice its proficiency bonus (+6).
Description
A violent dragon has more in common with a wyvern than any true dragon. Morphologically they resemble dragons with four limbs and separate wings, but their intelligence and behaviour are much more akin to that of wyverns. Their body is covered by thick, thorn-like scales which jut out of the body, as well as large, thick, ox-like horns jutting out of its head.
While lacking the signature poison of the wyvern, the violent dragon is tougher and stronger than the wyvern and rely more on close range fighting, which their pronounced forelimbs and thick scaling allows them to do effectively.
Territorial Rage. Violent dragons are fiercely territorial and attack anything they see as threatening within their territory, ranging from large predators like owlbears, to larger groups of humanoids, or even giants and wyverns. Some have even been observed to have engaged young dragons in a fight for territory.
Grounded Combatants. While a violent dragon keeps watch over its territory and is willing to engage its enemies in aerial combat, the violent dragon will try to drag any airborne target to the ground and engage it there.
