Traits

Call Resistance. When a creature tries to summon the vila using conjure fey or similar magic, the vila can force the creature to make a DC 15 Charisma saving throw. On a failure, the creature becomes charmed by the vila for 1 minute.

Shift Form. The vila can use a bonus action to change into a Tiny falcon or squirrel or Large horse, or back into its true form. Its statistics, other than its size and actions, are the same in each form.

While in animal form, the vila can choose to take on a more fey-like appearance (no action required). During the night, it must take on a fey-like appearance.

Luminescent. While using its fey-like appearance (see Shift Form), the vila can shed bright light in a 10-foot radius and dim light for an additional 10 feet.

Innate Spellcasting. The vila's innate spellcasting ability is Charisma (spell save DC 15). It can innately cast the following spells, requiring no material components:
At will: invisibility (self only)
1/day each: bane (up to five creatures), bless (up to five creatures), hold person (up to three humanoids), wind wall

Magic Resistance. The vila has advantage on saving throws against spells and other magical effects.

Fey Weapons. The vila's weapons are a part of her. She can change between her weapons at will, making them disappear or reappear (no action required). These weapons disappear when the vila dies.

Actions

Multiattack. The vila makes two weapon attacks.

Fey Sword (vila form only). Melee Weapon Attack: +7 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 7 (1d8 + 3) slashing damage, plus 9 (2d8) psychic damage.

Fey Bow (vila form only). Ranged Weapon Attack: +7 to hit, range 150/600 ft., one target. Hit: 12 (2d8 + 3) piercing damage.

Scratch (falcon or squirrel form only). Melee Weapon Attack: +7 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 5 (1d4 +3) slashing damage, plus 9 (2d8) psychic damage.

Hooves (horse form only). Melee Weapon Attack: +3 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 11 (2d10) bludgeoning damage. If the target is a creature, it must succeed a DC 15 Constitution saving throw or be stunned until the end of its next turn.

Reactions

Slippery. If the vila loses its concentration on a spell, it  can magically teleport to a spot it can see within 60 feet.

Description

Vile are natives to the Plane of Faerie. A vila appears as a beautiful golden-haired elven woman, but this belies her fey nature. Vile are even more reclusive in nature than the related dryad or nymph, never straying far from their realms unless a mortal creature elsewhere catches their eye.

Vile are passionate and spend their days among their own kind, dancing and singing and speaking with the animals of their homes. Any outsider would be fortunate to see vile without them noticing. More likely than not, the individual would follow the sound of melodious voices only to find a band of squirrels clamoring through the trees.

Creatures of Many Shapes. A vila has the uncanny ability to transform into a falcon, squirrel, or horse. Unlike most other creatures, this change is not magical and does not end if the vila is unfortunate enough to die in that form.

Although she can hide her fey nature in animal form, the moon peels away the mask. No matter her form, the moonlight causes the vila's skin to radiate a pale white glow, and her hair or fur will glow a radiant sliver with motes of pale yellow starlight.

Lovers of Mortals. While a vila will rarely leave the Feywild, she can often find herself enthralled by a humanoid she sees when she does. This love is one of burning passion, and a vila who experiences this emotion will not allow her advances to be scorned.

If the recipient of her desires does not share these emotions, she will make every effort to ruin the individual's life. Those who don't return her advances will often find their crops blighted, family members abducted, or worse.

A vila who does experience requited love will become angered upon seeing their lover grow older over the years, feeling betrayed that they "chose" to do so. It is for this reason that, although a romance with a vila can be a positive experience, it will almost always end in tragedy.

Warrior Hearts. A vila does not start fights, but she joins in them with rapturous joy. The vila forges her weapons soon after birth and will never part with them. Touching a vila's weapon, even with her "permission," is a major slight, and she will treat it as such.

Because of her love of battle, the mortals she falls for are often powerful or skilled in combat. If her lover falls in battle, the vila will often take her lover to the Feywild and try to bring them back to life through contracts with archfey or other such entities.
