Underground adaptation. The Slaughterkin have adapted to their underground home. Once every two turns the Slaughterkin can attack four times: two with it's bite and two with its claws. To do so the Slaughterkin will lose (1d4) health and will have to move half its movement speed for the next round.
Innate Spellcasting. The Slaughterkin's spellcasting ability is Wisdom (spell save DC 10). It can innately cast the following spells, requiring no material components:
At will: chill touch, toll of the dead
1/day each: false life, inflict wounds
Bite. Melee Weapon Attack: +2 to hit, reach 5 ft., one creature. Hit: 9 (2d6 + 2) piercing damage. plus (1d4) poison damage and the target is poisoned for one minute.
Claws. Melee Weapon Attack: +4 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 7 (2d4 + 2) slashing damage. plus (1d4) poison damage, If the target is a creature other than an Aabicur elf or undead, it must succeed on a DC 12 Constitution saving throw or be paralyzed for one minute. The target can repeat the saving throw at the end of each of its turns, ending the effect on itself on a success.
Description
These humans were delved underground by the orcs thousands of years ago, they have since evolved getting razor sharp teeth and claws with poison dripping off it's teeth and claws.
The orcs like taking the Slaughterkin to use as their slaves, the other Slaughterkin hate the orcs and have have made attacks on the civilizations of them, the Slaughterkin are powerful and overwhelming with their superior numbers they kill the orc people till there are none left.
The Aabicur people are mostly nice to them but they sometimes get into battles with them, the elves also like killing them to use their finger claws to make into poison tipped weapons.
what if one of these went and pieced your Achilles heel? would they have disadvantage on the attack roll? and if so and the roll hits, would the person be rendered prone?
I would be slightly more careful with the paralysis condition, combined with underground adaptation. This is mostly because a poor low AC player will likely be eviscerated by it. I think a really easy solution is to make the underground adaptation feature force the slaughterkin to attack separate targets.
If all the attacks were to sink into a poor 9 AC sorcerer, it would be able to deal around 50 damage, which is enough to bring down a lvl 8 sorcerer with +2 con. For a CR 1 creature, that's a bit strong.
I like the ideas tho, very cool :)
