Broodling Pulse. The Broodlord constantly expels spores that when they make contact with organic tissue they take root and quickly germinate into Broodlings. When a creature starts its turn within 30 feet of the Broodlord, it can force that creature to make a DC 18 Constitution saving throw if the Broodlord can see it. On a successful save, the creature is immune to this aura for the next 24 hours. On a failed save, the creature takes 3D6 Necrotic damage and 1D6 Broodlings burst out of their skin.
Acid Blood. Whenever the Broodlord takes melee damage the target must make a DC 16 Dexterity saving throw, if they fail they take 3D6 Acid damage, half damage on success.
Tail Swipe. Melee Weapon Attack: +9 to hit, reach 10 ft., one target. Hit: 16 (2d10 + 4) Bludgeoning damage and the target is pushed 10ft.
Brood Shot. Ranged Weapon Attack: +13 to hit, range 200/400 ft., one target. Hit: 22 (2d12 + 8) Piercing damage and the target must make a DC 18 Constitution saving throw, if they fail two Zerg Broodlings appear in adjacent squares and immediately attack them.
The Zerg Broodlord can take 3 legendary actions, choosing from the options below. Only one legendary action option can be used at a time and only at the end of another creature’s turn. The Broodlord regains spent legendary actions at the start of its turn.
Broodling Blood (Costs 2 Actions). If the Broodlord took damage this round it can expel 2D10 Broodlings anywhere within 100ft.
Broodling Boost (Cost 3 Actions). Any 10 Broodling within 100ft of the Broodlord gain 50 temporary hit points, have +10 to their attack and deal an extra 10 piercing damage as long as they still have temporary hit points.
