Greetings Everyone!
We're happy to announce the Digital Dice Alpha is now live on the Character Sheet for subscribers only.
These digital dice will help you reduce the math you have to do when playing D&D. We encourage everyone to give them a roll and tell us how they feel!
If you'd like to turn off Dice rolling on the character sheet for any reason, you can click on your character dropdown and toggle the Digital Dice off.
As a thank you, you will also receive a free set of Old School dice that celebrates our roots. You can activate them by going to the My Dice page under "Collections" on the top nav.
If you'd like to learn more about how to use the dice or to give us feedback, visit our Digital Dice Feedback Forum.
Thanks all. Happy rolling!

Love it. It does feel occasionally slow to use? Like if I was in combat and I cast a high level scorching ray (or another thing that uses lots of dice) it would take quite a bit to get everything done: select the right option, wait for the dice to roll, wait for the pop-up to show, wait for the dice to dissapear so you can roll again, roll again, etc.
Besides the slog from this it feels and looks very nice :)
So I'm really glad to see that the on/off switch is global and not per character, so I can just turn it off easily. But when I turn it off (cause I can see how useful it is, but I don't intend to use it at all), does that mean that the whole roller library is not loaded either, or would it still be loaded just not activated?
I've had a play with them I like how they capture the feel of my poor luck by painting my low rolls or Crits there is no between.
Seriously though the one thing I feel needs more work is spells some spells are broken because they use two sets of different dice, Chaosbolt, and Icestorm to mention just two.
On the whole, a welcomed addition, would be great if they worked on manual array in character creation to.
Are there plans to implement this on monster stat blocks?
Love this feature. Graphics on the dice rolls on the sheet are very cool.
I think I encountered a potential bug. Here is a loom video that shows the potential issue: https://www.loom.com/share/4a2e7c367e6d4768b03f6c31ec167698
Thanks for putting this together. Great work.
will there be access for non subs in later versions?
There are times when I roll the dice, the move too far off to the side and you can't see the number. You do see the result in the chat window, but personally, I like to see the die too, especially since there is somewhat of a delay when I roll and the result appears on the screen.
After this alpha there will be a beta which is available for everyone.
This is a great feature, and I'm looking forward to using it in my games. I've turned it off until it has had a bit more tweaking, though. Currently, it increases the length of the skill list to beyond the size of my screen.
This looks awesome but How can other players see it? If its just for me its less useful but if it could be posted to all players in a dnd beyond campaign it would be worth it.
Definitely +1ing getting this for my NPC / Monster Blocks. Without that feature, this is reduced in value to me as a DM, but even players want it for their pets / wildshapes.
I hope this keeps being expanded! What exists is beautiful.
Will this option be added to the Encounter Generator? For DMs?
Suggestion:
For casters, it would be nice if we could hit the cast button and have it roll to hit, and damage for those spells that have those options on them, just save a two clicks.
Same with the the weapons I suppose....
Sofar this is beautiful work, so good.
Is there anyway the dm gets to use the dice as well ??
Pleasantly surprised by this nice addition. I played around with it for the first time today. Generally I use Beyond 20, but it doesn't work on Android without changing to some other browser. I also like that you can just pick dice to roll. Sometimes I need that for things not started on the character sheet.
This is awesome. I love it so far. This is the 1st digital dice roller that has actually pulled me away from my physical dice. I hope we see a lot more customization in the future!
How do I use this to add Sneak Attack dice roll?
Are there plans for rolling at Advantage/Disadvantage? Or adding modifiers for things like Sneak Attack?
Hey, I got a request that would make the feature better. It would be great if you could click on another thing to roll before the first one finishes. It would be great if I could roll to hit and roll damage at the same time so that if I hit with an attack I can have the damage roll already starting the animation or finished and have the number ready.
Very nice!
