Can I gift a bundle to a friend?
Yes, you can purchase bundles as a gift! Simply select "Purchase as a gift" at checkout!
Are the bundles a good deal?
You bet they are! Our most inexpensive bundle, the Player Bundle, typically offers you a 20% discount versus buying each book individually. Similarly, the Sourcebook and Adventure Bundles normally net you 10% off versus purchasing individual books. Our largest bundle, the Legendary Bundle, typically lets you get in on all the action for 15% off versus individually buying books! But during this sale, you'll see even greater savings!
You also get discounts on books that are added to the bundles in the future. The Sourcebook and Adventure Bundles give you 10% off future books and the Legendary Bundle gets you 15% off. Pro tip: you can even stack these discounts with our single book sales! Getting into bundles early and capitalizing on single book sales is a great way to maximize your savings on future book purchases.
I've already purchased a bundle. Can I repurchase it to get the books I'm missing?
Unfortunately, repurchasing a bundle isn't possible. However, you get a discount on books that have been added to the bundle since you bought it. See the "Are the bundles a good deal?" section for more details on the discounts available.
What if I already own some of the books in a bundle?
If you already have one or more books from a bundle in your D&D Beyond account, the price you paid will be subtracted from the cost of the bundle!
How do I share the content from my bundle?
To share content you've purchased with players in your campaigns, you must first become a Master-tier subscriber. Once you are, go to your specific campaign's management page and select "Content Management." From there, you can select the books you want to share.
Yeah, If you already have the physical books, then maybe D&D Beyond isn't for you.
Have fun with that pen and paper, and carrying all those books everywhere you need to...
Yeah plus the hard copy books are a bit hard to share from 1000 miles away or even across town since a lot of games are now played remotely too...
I’ll take more digital dice lol… thanks
That's okay man.
I'd feel pretty stupid too if I bought the books then paid full price for the digital version.
But you do you.
I'm blessed with good health, strength and a nice bag for my books.
And I can read and write and have no problem using pencil and paper......
I bought like 8 of the physical books before dndbeyond, but I'm never going back to physical. The automatic errata updates alone more than make up for any shortcomings in digital. The cheap and easy sharing, searchability, and the great character creator/sheets make it a no-brainer. It also helps to have DM friends that use it, so you can split the costs for the materials that aren't targeted to players like the DMG, MM, MToF, and adventures. The only book that's worth having a physical copy of for physical games is the PHB.
I got most of my books heavily discounted in sales though, so the bundles don't offer any savings for me. If they discounted the full price rather than the price I paid, it could be worth it.
So are these bundles just no longer available at all? Any plans to reinstate them or similar ones in the future?
I was literally saving up for the Legendary Bundle this year... :(
Nothing communicated yet but if you have been saving up, you might want to hold onto it in case they do release one this year.
