While exploring the untamed wilds of the Moonshae Isles, you stumble across a shimmering portal bathed in a sunbeam that filters through the canopy above. On the other side lies Lorwyn—a whimsical realm of eternal daylight, wandering giants, mischievous faeries, and living incarnations of nature itself.
Releasing on D&D Beyond on November 18, Lorwyn: First Light helps you expand your Forgotten Realms adventures with new Fey-inspired character options and monsters from a new Domain of Delight in the Feywild called Lorwyn-Shadowmoor.
You can purchase this D&D Beyond exclusive digital supplement as part of the Forgotten Realms Ultimate Bundle.
Inside, you’ll find:
- 2 backgrounds
- 2 feats
- 2 magic items
- 8 monsters
- 2 new species, and advice for playing 8 additional species in the Lorwyn-Shadowmoor setting
- Two adventure examples and a map appropriate for both
This new content can be used to represent heroic characters or mischievous creatures who hail from the Lorwyn-Shadowmoor setting.
These creatures and characters may travel to the Forgotten Realms via fey crossings. Similarly, Forgotten Realms-based characters can travel to Lorwyn-Shadowmoor for the adventures included in the supplement—or those of your own devising!
What is Lorwyn-Shadowmoor?
Drawing inspiration from Celtic folklore, the domain of Lorwyn-Shadowmoor originated as a plane in the multiverse of the Magic: The Gathering.

What the heck is this? Why does a Forgotten Realms Ultimate Bundle contain a bloody Magic the Gathering crossover?
Is this supposed to be fanservice for people who love Lorwyn? An entire 32 pages of coverage?
Did you run out of ideas for a third expansion? Couldn't you make a Feywild booklet that would be about Forgotten Realms and that would actually cover some of the mirror locations of the setting, instead of yet another stupid and inconsequential Domain of Delight?
I refuse to believe that the dev team of D&D could not come up with a third expansion for Forgotten Realms. This is a 32 page advertisement for Magic cards that has been pushed into the bundle by some corporate genius. What an absolute disgrace.
Disappointed to see the 3rd add on isn't even forgotten realms related. If you wanted to do a MTG release you should have done it separately.
In order to get this you have to purchase the Ultimate Bundle.
With that you get: 50+ adventures, 8 subclasses, 20+ backgrounds, 50+ feats, 60+ monsters, 19 spells, 20+ magic items, 15 items, and 5 settings. Just with the base two books.
the three expansion digital exclusive items give you between all three: 5 backgrounds, 18 feats, 3 species, 21 monsters, 10 magic items, 3 settings,
So altogether you get 50+ adventures, 8 subclasses, around 30 backgrounds, around 70 feats, 3 species, around 80 monsters, 19 spells, around 30 magic items, 15 items and 8 settings.
Tat’s a lot of content.
