Posted Oct 16, 2025"...built for D&D game night"
I don't know about anyone else but I never put on songs with lyrics while playing D&D. It messes up my narration as DM and I would find it distracting as a player. A real D&D playlist for game night would be full of movie and video game OST tracks.

Posted Oct 17, 2025Interesting, but I don't use Spotify. Some of my bard character's playlist:
March of Cambreadth, Heather Alexander/Alexander James Adams
Faerie Queen, Heather Alexander/ Alexander James Adams
Shattered Dreams, Johnny Hates Jazz
Circles, Bill Roper
Hold Your Head Up, Argent
Suil A Rúin, Colm McGuiness
Gather Us In, Marty Haugen

Posted Oct 17, 2025Songs with lyrics are distracting while playing, in my opinion. Also, Spotify can get stuffed.

Posted Oct 17, 2025Yeah I agree with the general consensus so far, Spotify is not the way to go and songs with lyrics are too distracting. I use instrumental versions of songs myself. I'm doing a Humblewood campaign now and we're about to do the final battle so I've got a nice little playlist of fire themed songs prepped. I also try video game music and I sometimes use YouTube synth videos for in between battles music just so something interesting is playing when it's not themed. Well, hope y'all enjoy the playlist anyways, have fun and hope all your rolls are crits!

Posted Oct 17, 2025While I appreciate some Japanese rep by Akina Nakamori, but...
> Chrono Trigger
> Can't Remove The Pain - From "Ultima VI: The False Prophet"
> The Decisive Battle (FFVI cover)
A bit cheeky, ain't it?

Posted Oct 18, 2025I also second the request for including apple music!
Even though I'm more of Corvus Corax and Vox Vulgaris type of song-DM-person; it will be interesting to see what the community cooked up.
I do intend on using "Hallowed be thy name" From iron maiden to introduce the second part of my Tyranny of Dragons campaign; players are jailed up and this will serve as a good tie in for a reflective flashback sequence before their trial...
