Channel primordial chaos as you strike at an enemy, loosing upon them a random effect. Make a melee spell attack against the target. On a hit, the target takes 1d6 damage; roll a 1d8 to determine the spell's damage type and additional effects according to the table below

1 Acid The Target's AC is reduced by 1 until the end of its next turn
2 Cold The target's movement speed is reduced by 10ft until the end of its next turn.
3 Fire The target cannot regain hit points until the end of its next turn.
4 Force The target takes an additional 1d6 Force damage at the start of its next turn.
5 Lightning The target can't take reactions until the end of its next turn.
6 Poison The target subtracts 1d4 from the next STR, CON, or DEX saving throw it makes before the end of your next turn.
7 Psychic The target subtracts 1d4 from the next INT, WIS, or CHA saving throw it makes before the end of your next turn.
8 Thunder If the target is Large size or smaller, it is pushed up to 5 feet away from you in a straight line.

 

At Higher Levels. The spell’s initial damage increases by 1d6 when you reach 5th level (2d6), 11th level (3d6), and 17th level (4d6).
