You teleport 10 feet to an empty location that you can see leaving behind an afterimage of yourself in the process. The image retains the last pose you made and instantly solidifies into a mold of yourself that occupies a space you moved from and stands there until it is destroyed or the spell ends.
The substitute has only 1 hit point and an AC equal to 10 + the spell's level, but it is considered a solid object that occupies this space. If a hostile creature comes within proximity or starts it's turn within 5 feet of your substitute it must make a Wisdom saving throw against your spellcasting DC.
On a success, nothing happens and that creature does not have to make that save again. On a failure, the creature uses it's action on it's turn to attack the substitute. When a substitute is destroyed, the attacker gets a whiplash of psychic damage equal to half the damage it dealt and the spell ends. Creatures immune to being charmed automatically succeed on this save.
At Higher Levels. When you cast this spell using a spell slot of 2nd level or higher, you can extend the range of it's teleport by 10 feet for each slot level above 1st.
