A lance of swirling purple and blue acid flies toward a target within range. Make a ranged spell attack against the target. On a hit, the target takes 7d6 acid damage. At the end of the target's next turn, it must succeed on a constitution saving throw or become poisoned, it can retry this saving throw on each of it's turns. On a miss, the lance impales the target with acid for half as much of the initial damage and it is not poisoned.

At Higher Levels. When you cast this spell using a spell slot of 4th level or higher, the damage increases by 1d6 for each slot level above 3rd.
