A dazzling array of flashing, colored light springs from your hand. Roll 6d10; the total is how many hit points of creatures this spell can affect. Creatures in a 15-foot cone originating from you are affected in ascending order of their current hit points (ignoring unconscious creatures and creatures that can’t see).
Starting with the creature that has the lowest current hit points, each creature affected by this spell is blinded until the end of your next turn. Subtract each creature’s hit points from the total before moving on to the creature with the next lowest hit points. A creature’s hit points must be equal to or less than the remaining total for that creature to be affected.
At Higher Levels. When you cast this spell using a spell slot of 2nd level or higher, roll an additional 2d10 for each slot level above 1st.
* - (a pinch of powder or sand that is colored red, yellow, and blue)

Posted Jan 8, 2023Recipe for Sorcerers:
- Dragons Breath
- Colorspray
- Quicken Spell
Cast Dragons Breath that will enable you to breathe AoE with an action on the following turns. Use Colorspray with Quicken Spell to blind your targets as a Bonus Action, then breathe on them with Dragons Breath using your action. The blinded targets will automatically loose their DEX save, and you can move away from them without triggering opportunity attacks.

Posted Apr 19, 2023Yes to leaving Attack of Opportunity spaces, no to Dex save failure. That would be Stunned, Unconscious, or Paralyzed.

Posted Aug 19, 2023My DM states that undead ( zombies/skeletons)are immune to this, as it is a pattern spell. Can't see anything on spell description or on monster description regarding this. Is this a throwback to a previous edition?

Posted Apr 18, 2025It doesn´t say roll 6d10 for damage, you roll for the total hit points of the creature it can affect, if its above a certain number, anything with hitpoints below what you rolled is able to be affected by the spell, i belive that this is what it means, double check if your not sure, also dont know if you already have an answer but this can help others.
