A creature of your choice that you can see within range perceives everything as hilariously funny and falls into fits of laughter if this spell affects it. The target must succeed on a Wisdom saving throw or fall prone, becoming incapacitated and unable to stand up for the duration. A creature with an Intelligence score of 4 or less isn't affected.
At the end of each of its turns, and each time it takes damage, the target can make another Wisdom saving throw. The target has advantage on the saving throw if it's triggered by damage. On a success, the spell ends.

Posted Dec 14, 2021Not all that good. I'm not sure how it 'deals damage' but incapacitated isn't that hard to get.
Paralyzed, Petrified, Stunned and Unconscious all include Incapacitated as part of the condition, which makes Hold Person inherently better. Plus the fact that it doesn't scale makes Laughter terrible for Warlock spell slots.
This spell is a niche low level option for utility casters and not much else.

Posted Apr 15, 2022I swear, I thought that said "tiny farts." I was thinking a Whoopie Cushion, maybe?
Regardless, what are tiny tarts? They're not talking about horny halfling women, are they?

Posted Jun 19, 2022As far as I can tell, this is a save-or-suck spell to flying creatures. I'm pretty sure that if a flying creature (without hover) failed it's saving throw it'd fall to the ground from the prone. If so, that's a hilarious use for a 1st level spell. Sure it's range is only 30 feet, but that's still useful if you're also flying, or if you're on a cliff and they aren't.

Posted Sep 5, 2022Looking for some help.
Making a Witch the BBEG in an upcoming campaign.
Is there any way or other spells like this that can affect large groups/crowds instead of one person?
I am thinking of introducing my BBEG during a town fair with the PCs having a lovely time with no worries and then having the whole town be affected by this spell for extra scariness.
Any ideas? Thank you!

Posted Apr 17, 2024theoreticly as long as the enemy dosent go higher than 30ft you can technicly force a flying enemy to take a little bit fall damage if you use this on them while they are flying
