Stunned
You speak a word of power that can overwhelm the mind of one creature you can see within range, leaving it dumbfounded. If the target has 150 hit points or fewer, it is stunned. Otherwise, the spell has no effect.
The stunned target must make a Constitution saving throw at the end of each of its turns. On a successful save, this stunning effect ends.

Posted Nov 7, 2019Shouldn't this link to the player's spell save DC?

Posted Feb 2, 2020Spells assume the DC is the casters unless otherwise specified.
It's to save wordcount for the books

Posted Feb 3, 2020Correct, but in my experience it does not link the DC on the character sheet tool, which is not the case for other similar spells. I suppose I should have been more clear about that.

Posted May 19, 2020Not having a save is the reason why this is an 8th-level spell.

Posted May 20, 2020It doesn't have an initial DC, but it does require a CON save at the end of the affected creature's turn. This is a minor matter, but struck me as a bit odd that it wasn't supplied as part of the character sheet, hence my question.

Posted Oct 9, 2021The DC would be the based on the Caster. That's what the Con Save implies.

Posted Mar 6, 2022So if the caster were to somehow get a DC-21 saving throw, they would be capable of permanently paralyzing a commoner. That's horribly evil.

Posted Mar 20, 2023Why would you ban the spell? It's a great tool and they have to use an 8th lvl spell slot for it.
