You touch a nonmagical wooden object for the full casting time, honing it by carving or varnishing while reciting a mystic song or chant. The object becomes magical for the duration of the spell. Additionally, you can choose one of the following effects to take place until the spell ends:
- If the object is a shield, its AC bonus becomes +3.
- If the object is a weapon, it becomes a +1 magical weapon.
- If the object is ammunition, it becomes +1 magical ammunition.
- The object's value increases to 10x its original value.
- The object becomes animated as with the Animate Objects spell.

Using a Higher-Level Spell Slot. When you cast this spell using a spell slot of 4th level or higher, the casting time becomes 30 minutes and the duration of the effect increases to 24 hours. When you use a spell slot of 6th level or higher, the casting time becomes 8 hours and the effect becomes permanent.
