You hurl a mote of Ice at a creature or an object within range. Make a ranged spell attack against the target. On a hit, the target takes 1d10 Cold damage
if aimed at a specific limb the creatures to hit is raised by +2,if the specific limb of a medium sized creature is hit with this spell 3 times in a consecutive row the target takes a dc 15 constitution saving throw and on a fail each turn that limb is frozen over and cannot be used in anyway.on each of that targets turns they can use their bonus action to make another saving throw for use of their limb again.for each creature larger then medium the amount of times needed to be hit before freezing is increased by one.for creatures under medium size the ac of the target is increased by +1 for each size under medium, and the amount of hits needed decreases by 1
Cantrip Upgrade. The damage increases by 1d10 when you reach levels 5 (2d10), 11 (3d10), and 17 (4d10).

Posted Oct 26, 2025I'd redo the second paragraph as:
If aimed at a specific limb on the creature, treat their AC as 2 higher for the attack roll. If you hit a specific limb three consecutive times the target must make a Constitution saving throw*. On a failed save, the limb freezes over and cannot be used in any manner. On the end of each of the target's subsequent turns, they may repeat the saving throw**, ending the effect on themselves on a success. For targets larger than medium the number of required consecutive hits increases by one per size category above medium. For creatures smaller than medium the number of required consecutive hits decreases by one per size category below medium, and their AC is treated as 1 higher per size category below medium.
*Most spells would just use the spellcaster's spell save DC. 15 is higher than possible for the majority of 1st-level characters, and way lower than it should be for 16th-level or higher characters.
**Requiring the target to use a bonus action is a little strong for a cantrip, and doesn't match up with other spells too well. It needs to be somewhat familiar to other spells, or players will likely not want to use it, having no good way to gauge its effectiveness.
Overall, though, it is a cool concept and very unique.
