Wish is the mightiest spell a mortal can cast. By simply speaking aloud, you can alter reality itself, creating one of the following effects of your choice:
Power. One ability score of your choice becomes 30 for 24 hours. After this effect ends, that score is permanently increased by 2, to a maximum of 30. This spell’s Verbal component is “I wish for power”.
Riches. You create one or more objects of up to a total value of 25,000 GP that aren’t magic items. The objects can fill no more than 300 feet in any dimension, and they appear in an unoccupied space that you can see on the ground or in a liquid that can support it. This spell’s Verbal component is “I wish for riches”.
Life. You grant yourself and up to 10 creatures that you can see the benefits of a long rest and remove all effects on them listed in the Greater Restoration spell, though only spell slots lower than 6th level are replenished in this way. This spell’s Verbal component is “I wish for life”.
Resilience. You grant yourself and up to 10 creatures that you can see Immunity to one damage type, spell, or other magical effect that you choose for 24 hours. After this effect ends, if a damage type was chosen, you and those creatures permanently gain Resistance to that damage type, and if a spell or other magical effect was chosen, you and those creatures permanently have Advantage on saving throws against that spell or other magical effect. This spell’s Verbal component is “I wish for resilience”.
Talent. You gain one Feat for which you are eligible. This spell’s Verbal component is “I wish for talent”.
Magic. You immediately produce the effects of any other spell. You don't need to meet any requirements to cast that spell, including costly components. The spell simply takes effect. Alternatively, one magic item of at most Legendary rarity appears on your person or in an unoccupied space that you can see on the ground or in a liquid that can support it. If the item requires attunement, you may attune to it immediately upon creating it. This spell’s Verbal component is “I wish for magic”.
Time. You rewind time by up to 60 seconds. You and up to 10 creatures you can see retain their memories of the events that previously happened during this time and gain Advantage on D20 tests until the point in time passes where you originally cast the spell. Any resource used to cast this spell is still expended. This spell’s Verbal component is “I wish for time”.
Anything. You may wish for something not included in any of the other effects. To do so, state your wish to the DM as precisely as possible. The DM has great latitude in ruling what occurs in such an instance; the greater the wish, the greater the likelihood that something goes wrong. This spell might simply fail, the effect you desire might be achieved only in part, or you might suffer an unforeseen consequence as a result of how you worded the wish. For example, wishing that a villain were dead might propel you forward in time to a period when that villain is no longer alive, effectively removing you from the game. Similarly, wishing for an Artifact might instantly transport you to the presence of the item’s current owner. If your wish is granted and its effects have consequences for a whole community, region, or world, you are likely to attract powerful foes. If your wish would affect a god, the god’s divine servants might instantly intervene to prevent it or to encourage you to craft the wish in a particular way. If your wish would undo the multiverse itself, threaten the City of Sigil, or affect the Lady of Pain in any way, you see an image of her in your mind for a moment; she shakes her head, and your wish fails. This spell’s Verbal component is “I wish”.
No spell can interrupt the casting of this spell after it has already begun, and spells such as Dispel Magic and Antimagic Field have no effect on any effect created by this spell.
Once you cast this spell, you can’t cast it again until you complete 2d4 Long Rests. If this is the third time you are casting the spell, you can never cast this spell again, and if you have this spell prepared, you can immediately replace it with another spell of your choice that you can prepare.
