A dark mist of necrotic energy surrounds a point of your choice within range. Any creature that ends its turn in a 10-foot-radius Sphere centered on that point makes a Constitution saving throw, taking 2d4 Necrotic damage on a failed save or half as much damage on a successful one. Creatures can’t regain hit points while in this area.
Additionally, you can end the spell early to cause the area to explode. Any creature caught in the explosion makes another Constitution saving throw and takes 2d4 Necrotic damage on a failed save, or half as much damage on a successful one. Any healing a creature would have recieved while in the area is added to the damage of the explosion.
Using a Higher-Level Spell Slot. The damage increases by 1d4 for each spell slot level above 2.
