You summon a number of tiny star motes equal to your spellcasting level to orbit you protectively. These motes deal 1d4 radiant damage each and can be shot at a target within 60 feet. Up to three motes can be shot at once and count as a single ranged magical attack. If not used to attack, the motes will remain in your immediate vicinity for the duration.
If a creature attempts a melee attack against you while the spell is in effect, you can allow all remaining motes in your orbit to counterattack as a reaction. The targeted creature must make a Dexterity saving throw, taking full damage on a failure and half damage on a success.
This spell can be recast while motes remain from a previous casting, but the total number of motes cannot exceed your spellcasting level.
