Base Class: Monk
The Sun and The Moon, the two Polar Opposites that overlap in many ways. The Way of the Celestial Body focus's greatly on this pair, it drives you to great ends and changes your whole self, by creating minute replications of The Sun and The Moon within yourself. you learn not only to do this but to empower yourself with these new Energies.
When learning this Monastic Tradition you must spend years of studying before even thinking of training, you must learn how not just The Sun and The Moon work, but also The Stars and many readings on energies, you spend just as much studying forms of magic and theories as any Wizard.
Toll of Impersonation
When it comes to experimentation this Monastic Tradition require it so, your body may have been inflicted from this, maybe you have strange marks of energy, maybe one of your eyes has changed colour. Anyone is different.
Empowered Studys
To learn this tradition you must have spent years of studying the ways of magic, theories, and energy's. You may now cast spells from the Wizard spell list, preparing every level.
(DnD Beyond doesn't allow for Monk Spellcasting, instead try finding a way to keep track of spells.)
Energy Awakenings
You have implemented energy's to your body, you can practice certain benefits from these energy's and may choose from the list. If the Benefit requires a level then you must be that level to use it.
Arms of Solar Flares
You can spend 2 ki points as an action to create flares of fire from your arms. A creature that you can see that is within 30 feet of you must make a Dexterity saving throw. On a failed save, the creature takes 3d10 fire damage, plus an extra 1d10 fire damage for each additional ki point you spend. On a successful save, the creature takes half as much damage.
Crushing Gravity of the Lunar Grasp
You spend 6 ki points, a creature you can see feels the full gravity of the moon, taking 5d10 Force Damage. With every extra ki point an extra creature is chosen. (17th Level Required)
Elemental Attunement
You can use your action to briefly control elemental forces within 30 feet of you, causing one of the following effects of your choice:
- Create a harmless, instantaneous sensory effect related to air, earth, fire, or water, such as a shower of sparks, a puff of wind, a spray of light mist, or a gentle rumbling of stone.
- Instantaneously light or snuff out a candle, a torch, or a small campfire.
- Chill or warm up to 1 pound of nonliving material for up to 1 hour.
- Cause earth, fire, water, or mist that can fit within a 1-foot cube to shape itself into a crude form you designate for 1 minute.
Fiery Forces
You can spend 2 ki points to cast Burning Hands.
Fist of Breaking Space
You can create a blast of sharp pointed forces through space. As an action, you can spend 2 ki points and choose a creature within 30 feet of you. That creature must make a Strength saving throw. On a failed save, the creature takes 3d10 piercing damage, plus an extra 1d10 piercing damage for each additional ki point you spend, and you can push the creature up to 20 feet away from you and knock it prone. On a successful save, the creature takes half as much damage, and you don’t push it or knock it prone.
Gravity Lift
You can spend 4 ki points to cast fly, targeting yourself. (11th Level Required)
Gravity Well
You can spend 3 ki points, this creates a 30ft Sphere, in a space within 120ft of you, any creature inside of it is pulled to the center. This also deals 1d10 Force Damage. (6th Level Required)
Skin of the Lunar Crust
You can spend 5 ki points to cast stoneskin, targeting yourself. (17th Level Required)
Spatial Punch
When you use the Attack action on your turn, you can spend 1 ki point to cause your fists and feet to ripple through space. Your reach with your unarmed strikes increases by 10 feet for that action, as well as the rest of the turn. A hit with such an attack deals force damage instead of bludgeoning damage, and if you spend 1 ki point when the attack hits, it also deals an extra 1d10 force damage.
Supernova of the Body's Star
You can spend 6 ki points, releasing a 60ft Sphere of fire, any creatures must make a DEX saving throw equal to your WIS score or take 5d10 Fire damage. (Half Damage on a success). (17th Level Required)
Tiny Star
You can spend 4 ki points to cast fireball. (11th Level Required)
Unpoised Flowing River
As an action, you can spend 1 ki point to choose an area of ice or water no larger than 30 feet on a side within 120 feet of you. You change water to poison, you fling this poison in a line. The extent of any such line can’t exceed half the area’s largest dimension. For example, if you affect a 30-foot square, you can create a pillar up to 15 feet high, this poison then deals 2d10 Poison Damage, dealing 1d10 extra Poison damage for every extra ki point.
Ranking of Empowering Energy's
You can finally rank off Empowering Energy, after all of your study's you are stepping up the ladder and are gaining slight control over the same domains as The Sun and The Moon. You may now:
- Change the Lunar Cycle for an hour.
- Switch to the equivalent night or day time for an hour.
- Light up an area of 60ft
- Darken an area for 60ft
And, any spells up to 5th level ignore Resistance.
Personal Sun and Moon
You have finally created your own personal Sun and Moon energy's, this power has given you a small replication of the Sun and Moon's power, you gain Resistance to Fire, Force, Necrotic, and Radiant Damage.
