The Arcane Scion of Selune sorcerer subclass is designed for demi-gods who carry the divine blood of Selune. These sorcerers wield unparalleled control over the Weave, with abilities that allow them to alter reality, shield themselves from magic, and unleash devastating power. Their divine connection grants them not just mastery over magic, but dominion over it, making them formidable beings on the battlefield and in the realms of arcane study. This subclass is the epitome of Selune’s legacy, capturing the essence of her divine influence over magic and the cosmos.

Divine Arcana

Your divine blood grants you an innate mastery of magic. You gain the following benefits:

  • Arcane Insight: You automatically succeed on Intelligence (Arcana) checks to identify spells and magical effects.
  • Divine Magic: Choose one 1st-level spell from any spell list. You can cast this spell once per long rest without expending a spell slot. This spell counts as a sorcerer spell for you.

Selune’s Radiance

Your divine connection to Selune allows you to wield the Weave with unmatched potency. You gain the following abilities:

  • Radiant Spellcraft: When you cast a spell that deals damage, you can choose to make that damage radiant or force. Additionally, when you cast a spell that deals radiant damage, you can add your Charisma modifier to the damage roll.
  • Arcane Shield: As a reaction when you are targeted by a spell or magical effect, you can spend 2 sorcery points to gain immunity to that spell or effect until the end of your next turn. You can use this ability once per short or long rest.

Lunar Dominion

Your divine heritage allows you to impose your will upon the Weave, altering reality around you.

  • Weave Control: As an action, you can spend 4 sorcery points to create an area of altered reality in a 30-foot radius centered on yourself. For 1 minute, you can choose to automatically succeed on concentration checks, and creatures of your choice within this area have disadvantage on all saving throws against your spells. Additionally, you can change the damage type of your spells to radiant, necrotic, or force at will. You can use this feature once per long rest.

Selune’s Wrath

You have mastered the divine magic of your ancestor, allowing you to unleash the full power of Selune’s legacy.

  • Divine Eclipse: As an action, you can spend 5 sorcery points to create an eclipse, plunging the area in a 120-foot radius centered on you into magical darkness for 1 minute. This darkness is impenetrable by any means except for your own sight. While in this area, you can see normally, and your spells deal maximum damage. You can move while maintaining this effect, and any creature within the darkness has disadvantage on attack rolls against you. Once you use this feature, you cannot do so again until you finish a long rest.
  • Lunar Rebirth: When you are reduced to 0 hit points while using Divine Eclipse, you can choose to be restored to half your maximum hit points instead. You can only use this ability once per long rest.
