Barbarian
Base Class: Barbarian

For some Barbarians, it is taught that the well being of the tribe takes top priority over all else. The Path of the Feast Bringer is one of an ancient tradition of sustenance and indulgence. They are the backbone of their tribes, for a hungry warrior is as good as a dead one.

At home, they can be found near the fire preparing arcane ritual ingredients for a meal before battle. But once in the frey, these Barbarians call upon their rage to quickly digest their enemies’ sinew into magical boons to aid and strengthen their allies on the battlefield. The Feast Bringer provides for their tribe at all costs, and those who would stand in their way will only become part of their next meal.

Consume Flesh and Blood

Starting when you choose this Path at 3rd Level, your rage gives you a heightened sense of taste, strengthening your palette. When you hit a creature with a melee attack while raging, you can consume some of the flesh or blood left on your weapon from the attack. Make a Constitution saving throw.  On a failed save, you begin vomiting, which consumes any remaining movement for your turn. On a successful save, you gain a benefit that lasts until the end of your next turn, based on the Type of creature hit. A creature cannot benefit from this feature more than twice per round and its effects do not stack. This feature has no effect on Elementals, Undead, Plants, or Constructs.

Aberration. The next time you hit with a weapon attack, your target takes an additional 1d12 necrotic damage.

Beast. Gain +1 to your next attack and damage rolls.

Feed the Tribe

At 6th Level, you can share the benefits of your meal with your allies. When you gain a benefit from Consume Flesh and Blood, choose a number of friendly creatures up to half your Constitution modifier, rounded up (minimum 1), within 15ft of you. The chosen targets gain the same benefit, which will last until the end of their respective turns.

Spoils of Victory

At 6th Level, you can harvest the corpses of your enemies to create powerful feasts for your allies. Immediately after a combat encounter, make a Survival Check to harvest a number of dead creatures equal to half your Constitution modifier, rounded up (minimum 1), for useful ingredients. The DC for this check is 10 or half the CR of the target, whichever is higher. If you are proficient with both the Survival Skill and Cooking Tools, you can make this check with Advantage. On a failed save, the creature parts are deemed spoiled or unusable. On a successful save, you gain a main ingredient to cook with. If you beat the DC by 5 or more, you gain one more of the same ingredient. You can store the harvested parts for up to 7 days before they become unusable.

During a Short or Long Rest, you can prepare a meal using one of your harvested parts as a Main Ingredient. The cost to prepare a meal this way is equal to the CR of the harvested creature X 5gp worth of spices & herbs to flavor the Main Ingredient. Your recipe makes enough to feed your entire party and will grant Temporary HP equal to the CR of the creature harvested for the main ingredient + your Wisdom modifier. Additionally, consuming this meal during a Short Rest will restore one use of your Rage feature.
