Base Class: Monk
Way of the Necromancer
You have taught yourself a monastic tradition that allows you to harness the power of life and death itself. You value restoration, and seek the power to find ways to prevent death and restore life. When you focus your ki, you can align yourself with the forces of creation and bend the universe to your will.
You have an innate understanding of the flow of life through a body and can thus manipulate ki to restore a body to health and life

6th | Life Attunement, Spell Selection |
11th | Manipulation of the Self, Spell Selection |
17th | Spell Selection |
Disciple of Life
When you choose this tradition at 3rd level, you learn magical disciplines that harness the power of life and death. A discipline requires you to spend ki points each time you use it.
You know the Spare the Dying spell and one other spell of your choice, which are detailed in the “Available Spells” section below. You learn one additional spell of your choice at 6th, 11th, and 17th level.
Whenever you learn a new spell, you can also replace one spell that you already know with a different one.
Life Attunement
Beginning at 6th level, you gain resistance to Necrotic damage. This is not considered a magical ability, and is considered an innate understanding of and attunement to life.
Manipulation of the Self
Beginning at 11th level, you can hold your breath indefinitely, and you don't require food, water, or sleep, although you still require rest to reduce exhaustion and still benefit from finishing short and long rests.
In addition, you age at a slower rate. For every 10 years that pass, your body ages only 1 year, and you are immune to being magically aged.
Casting Necromantic Spells
Some elemental disciplines allow you to cast spells. See the Spellcasting section for the general rules of spellcasting. To cast one of these spells, you use its casting time and other rules, but you don’t need to provide material components for it, unless it is a spell for raising the dead (as specified below).
Once you reach 5th level in this class, you can spend additional ki points to increase the level of aspell that you cast, provided that the spell has an enhanced effect at a higher level. The spell’s level increases by 1 for each additional ki point you spend.
Each spell casts a ki point equal to its level, plus one (so a cantrip will cost 1 ki point, a 1st level spell will cost 2, and so forth).
The maximum number of ki points you can spend to cast a spell in this way (including its base ki point cost and any additional ki points you spend to increase its level) is determined by your monk level, as shown in the Spells and Ki Points table.
