Base Class: Monk
The Swordsman's life is defined by rigorous training, meditation, and a singular dedication to their chosen weapon. They forgo heavy armor, trusting their cultivation and reflexes, honed by years of practicing. They consider the Dao to be their path to immortality and will lead them toward their destined power. On the path to enlightenment, one must make sure to not lose their way.
Level 3: Cultivator’s Rush
After using Patient Defense or Step of the Wind, your First Attack Action has a wisdom modifier added to the damage calculation.
Level 3: Flying Qi Weapon
You've mastered the technique of projecting your weapon using spiritual energy. If you had spend 1 Focus Point this or previous turn you may use your Attack Action, to make a special ranged weapon attack with a Simple Melee weapons or Martial Melee weapons that have the Finesse property you are wielding. The range of this attack is 60 feet, and its damage calculation is the same as your melee Attack Action.
This attack profits from the Cultivator’s Rush Feature (count as a melee weapon attack if the weapon condition is met). The weapon instantly returns to your hand after the attack ends.
Level 6: Heavenly Qi
Once per Short Rest and Long Rest, as an Action, you can channel your Focus points to stand upon your sword by spending 2 Focus points. You gain a Flying Speed equal to your current walking speed. This effect lasts for 10 minutes.
This effect ends early if any of the following occur:
- You are incapacitated
- You willingly end it.
- You take a Short or Long Rest.
The Skills granted by Monk’s Focus and Cultivator’s Rush features are fully usable while benefiting from this feature.
Level 6: Flying Qi Weapon Mastery
After you used a Weapon Attack that had benefited from Cultivator's Rush, your Flurry of Blows becomes Dancing Weapon and it cannot benefit from Cultivator's Rush.
Dancing Weapon
Replace your Flurry of Blows unarmed strike with two Flying Qi Weapon Attacks, they still use Bonus Action and same number of Focus point as Flurry of Blows, this turn. This attack uses weapon damage calculation, however, they cannot benefit from Cultivator's Rush Feature and does not use any modifier. This attack does not have Range Disadvantage when using at Melee Range.
Level 11: Heaven Strike
When you are flying due to Heavenly Qi feature, and you make a melee attack against a creature on the ground, you may choose to end your flight. If you do, roll a d20 to hit as you would an attack then the weapon damage dice for this single attack is replaced by 3d10. Once you use this effect, you must finish a Short or Long Rest before you can use it again. This feature is considered an Attack Action.
Level 17: Master Cultivator
Hitting the same enemy with at least 2 Flying Qi Weapon Attacks marks enemy with Heaven's Mark. Successfully landing an Attack on an enemy with this mark using Heaven Strike restore your usage of Heavenly Qi and Heaven Strike without having to take Short or Long Rest once per Long Rest.
