Base Class: Ranger

The Combat Archer is an well trained Archer, suits to survive on an Battlefield.
He practice his Archery so long that his reflexes and his handling with ranged weapons reaches peaks no other archer would normaly archiev.
with the he few magic he has acces to, he uses to take care of his disadvantage of limited supply of Ammunition, because nothing is as bad as an archer without his arrow.

his training focused on 2 main lessons:
first of all he tries to shot as fast as he can with any kind of ranged weapon
and second regardless of his shoting speed he trys to be as accurate as possibile.

 

Archery-Points (AP)

3rd Lvl Combat Archer Feature

Starting with Lvl 3 you gain the benefits of using AP.
You can have AP up to your Ranger LVL
You gain AP when:
- You critical hit with an Ranged Weapon Attack (1AP after resolving the attack)
- You reduce the HP of an creature to 0 with an Ranged Weapon Attack (1AP)
- You finish a long rest (you gain all of your AP back)
You can use these Points the following:
- you can use 2 AP to gain advantage on an ranged attack
- you can spend AP to ad damage die´s to an ranged weapon attack
  (depending on your Ranger-lvl each spend Point ad 1 Die to the damage Pool, Lvl3 1D4, Lvl 7 1D6, Lvl 11 1D8, Lvl15 1D10)

Arcane Ammunition

3rd Lvl Combat Archer Feature

Instead of using normal Ammunition for your ranged weapon, you use Arcane Arrows/Bolts/etc.
These Ammunition counts for spells/etc as non-magical Ammunition stored in a provided container.
(as example an Arrow in a Quiver)
The Arcane Ammunition is endless and when used you ignore the loading propertie of your ranged weapon.
when you used this Ammunition, your first ranged weapon attack in your turn gains advantage

Kill the Messenger

7th Lvl Combat Archer Feature

Once per turn when you hit with an Ranged Weapon attack and at least 1 damage die shows an 1, you can change the result of 1 die to a result of your choise
Also you can reroll all damage die 1 time which shows an 1. this part you can only do 2/3/4 (Level 7/11/15) times per short rest

Improved Critical and Extra Attack

11th Lvl Combat Archer Feature

Your attack aktion gains an additional attack when using ranged weapons (works with extra Attack)  and your ranged weapon attacks critical hits on a 19 and 20

Quick Draw

11th Lvl Combat Archer Feature

When you take the attack aktion and haven´t moved this turn you can attack an additional time,
but when using this, you can not move on your turn.

Improved Reflexes

15th Lvl Combat Archer Feature

Your reach for opportunity attacks is increased to the ranged of your equiped ranged weapon
also you can choose to spend 5 AP instead of your reaktion to make an opportunity attack
