Base Class: Artificer
The architect subclass of the artificer provides defensive and utility capabilities, allowing for defensive barriers or easier access to certain areas. The subclass is difficult to master, yet rewarding if proper strategies are used.
Create Structure
When you choose to become an architect, you have perfected your craft and can now build structures at unnatural speeds. As an action, you can expend a 1st, 2nd, or 3rd level spell slot to create a structure from the provided list within five feet of yourself, with varying degrees of durability dependent on the level of the spell slot expended.
Wall/Roof
When you create a 5 foot wide wall or roof, it will provide full cover unless specifically used as half cover. An object created using a 1st level spell slot has an AC of 13, and an HP of 10. An object created using a 2nd level spell slot will have an AC of 15 and an HP of 18. An object created using a 3rd level spell slot will have an AC of 17 and an HP of 27. If the object created is a roof, it must be attached to a sturdy object, such as a boulder or a wall.
Ladder/Stairs/Bridge
You can create a ladder, stairs, or bridge of up to 20 feet in either height or width. An object created using a 1st level spell slot has an AC of 13, and an HP of 10. An object created using a 2nd level spell slot will have an AC of 15 and an HP of 18. An object created using a 3rd level spell slot will have an AC of 17 and an HP of 27.
Swift Construction.
At 5th level, you have learned to shift from combat to your craft in seconds and can use a bonus action to build a structure instead of an action.
Vexing Bulwark
At 9th level, you have learned to infuriate enemies with your defenses, and can expend a 1st level spell slot as a bonus action to force a single targeted creature that you can see to make an Intelligence saving throw equal to 10 + your Intelligence modifier. On a fail, the targeted creature will attack a structure you have made either until the structure is destroyed, or the creature is damaged.
Mineral Hurricane
At 15th level, you have learned to focus architectural abilities to your fullest extent. As an action, you can expend a 4th level spell slot to create 5 bricks and throw each at a single target which you are able to see, each counting as a separate attack. Add your Intelligence modifier to the hit roll. On a hit, a brick will deal bludgeoning damage equal to 1d10 + your Intelligence modifier.

Posted Aug 11, 2020It was my second homebrew, and one I do not intend to return to. It was poorly made 'cause I had no idea what I was doing.
