Base Class: Rogue
Shadow Points
Starting at 3 level, you learn to bend the shadows to your will. You get 3 Shadow Points to spend on certain abilities. Your Shadow Points are replenished when you take a short or long rest. You gain 1 Shadow Point each time you level up in this class.
Arrow Storm
Starting at 3rd level, When using any type of bow, you can nock 3 arrows instead of one, enabling you to add 2 additional damage die to the attack (whatever die your bow uses) when using a bow. You can choose to target up to three creatures with this, making attack rolls for each (when attacking multiple targets you must choose one arrow to be the “main” arrow, this arrow is the only one that gets any modifiers or sneak attack die added to it, except in the case of + ammo). Using this ability costs 1 Shadow Point.
Shadow Arrows
Starting at 3 level, you no longer need traditional ammo. You fire shadow bolts from your ranged weapon that increase in power as you level up. These shadow bolts act identical to the ammunition +1. At 9 level they improve to +2, and at 13 level they improve to +3.
Shadow Sense
Starting at 9th level, Thanks to your ability to manipulate the shadows around, you gain the following benefits.
- You gain Blindsight up to 60 feet, as you can sense things through the shadows they touch and create.
- While in dim light or darkness, you make no audible sound. Foes that rely on hearing or tremorsense have reduced range (half of their normal range) to detect you.
- While in dim light or darkness and not moving, you are invisible to any creature that relies on traditional sight (including darkvision). This does not affect creatures that use blindsight or truesight. If you move, make an action, reaction, or bonus action any creature within a 60 feet radius that has line of sight, may make a perception check against your passive stealth (10 + Stealth skill) to see you.
Shadow Step
Starting at 13 level, you have learned how to step through the shadows. When you are in dim light or darkness, as a bonus action, or reaction you cause the shadows to briefly surround you, teleporting you up to 60 feet to an unoccupied space that you can see that is also in dim light or darkness. This ability does not provoke an attack of opportunity and gives you advantage on your next attack. Using this ability cost 2 Shadow Points.
Death Shot
Starting at 17 level, when you attack and hit a creature with your bow, you may choose to spend Shadow Points to increase the damage significantly. You can spend 5 Shadow Points to double your damage. You may only do this once per turn and only on your turn.
