Base Class: Ranger

You've become attune to the spirits of your fallen ancestors. As you learn more of your ancestors, they allow you to imbue your attacks and moves with special effects to push any interaction in your favor.

Additionally, if you we're to run out of arrows/bolts you can use spectral arrows that reduce your damage die by 1 tier (1d6 becomes 1d4).

Ancestor's Pain

At 3rd level, you gain one of the following features of your choice.

Elemental Arrow

Your ancestors have given you knowledge of enhancing your arrows. Once per turn, before you attack with bow/crossbow, you can infuse your arrow with an element and deal an extra 1d6 damage.

Ghastly Split

Once on each of your turns when you make a bow/crossbow attack, you can have a ghastly arrow split from your first arrow that strikes to the same enemy or a different one within 10 feet dealing reduced damage (-25%, minimum 1 damage, rounded up).

Phantom Strike

After you have struck a target using a bow/crossbow and once per turn, another strike on that target inflicts a phantom strike. A phantom strike deals an additional 50% damage of the additional strike (150% damage total).

Ancestor's Safety

At 7th level, you gain one of the following features of your choice.

Ghastly Premonition

When a creature hits you with an attack, you gain a +4 bonus to AC against the next attack done by another creature.

Phase Through

You have advantage on saving throws against being grappled and restrained .

Shadow Step

Before an opponent makes an attack against you, you can roll for a stealth check (against the opponent's perception check). On success, reduce the the opponent's hit DC by 3. On fail, nothing extra happens. You can do this once per enemy per encounter.

Ancestor's Grace

At 11th level, your ancestor's guide your attacks and the attacks against you. Once per encounter, you can have a damage die re-rolled, whether the attack was against you or by you.

Ancestor's Will

At 15th level, you can use your action to channel your ancestors. You gain +4 to your hit DC and guaranteed critical hits for 3 attacks. This ability can only be used once before a long rest.
