Base Class: Monk
Monks who train in the Way of the Shifting Sands follow the ancient tradition of nomadic acolytes who learned to thrive in the scorching Auroch Desert. They can focus their ki to shape the inhospitable world around them into a haven, or divert the harsh conditions of the desert against their foes. Many monks of this tradition are skilled sculptors, architects, or artists. They often seclude themselves in remote areas of the desert to meditate and practice their arts, both martial and otherwise.
Sand Sculptor
When you choose this tradition at 3rd level, you begin to learn ways to magically shape the world around you. You learn the mold earth cantrip if you don't already know it.
You gain access to spells at certain levels. These spells can be cast by spending ki points equal to the level of the spell. These spells can be cast only at base level and use only somatic components. Wisdom is your spellcasting ability for these spells.

Dire Mole Stance
Beginning at 6th level, you have learned the patience, resilience, and wisdom of the dire mole. You gain resistance to fire damage, and you don’t suffer the effects of extreme heat, as described in the Dungeon Master’s Guide.
Additionally, you can spend 2 ki points as a bonus action to gain tremorsense with a range of 30 feet and a burrow speed equal to half of your walking speed for 1 minute. While burrowing through nonmagical, unworked earth and stone you don't disturb the material you move through.
Mirage
At 11th level, you gain the ability to create and pass through pockets of intense heat in the atmosphere. As a bonus action, you can teleport up to 60 feet to an unoccupied space you can see. After teleporting in this way, creatures within 5 feet of you take fire damage equal to one roll of your Martial Arts die. You can use this feature a number of times equal to your Wisdom modifier, and you regain all expended uses when you finish a short or long rest.
Burning Squall
Starting at 17th level, you have become one with the sun-touched sands. You can spend 10 ki points as a bonus action to conceal yourself in a veil of burning sand for 1 minute, or until you choose to end it as an action. This effect also fades if you fall unconscious.
The sandstorm swirls around you in a 10-foot radius, remaining centered on you for the duration, and it has the following effects:
• It hedges out vapor, gas, and fog that can be dispersed by strong wind.
• The area is difficult terrain for creatures other than you.
• The attack rolls of ranged attacks have disadvantage if the attacks pass in or out of the sandstorm.
• A creature other than you that enters the area for the first time on a turn or ends its turn there must make a Constitution saving throw against your ki save DC, taking 5d4 fire damage and becoming blinded until the end of your next turn on a failure. On a successful save, a creature takes half damage and is not blinded.
