Base Class: Monk
As a practitioner of this monastic tradition, you have learned to channel your ki and change its shape into something far deadlier-lightning. Monks who have mastered the way of lightning are able to channel this deadly force through their body not only to attack enemies but to move viciously across the battlefield in a flash of lightning, this subclass grants you resistance to lightning damage.
Fists of Lightning
When you choose this tradition at 3rd level you are now able to channel lightning into your fists, as a bonus action you may spend a 1 ki point to direct lightning through your fists. This effect lasts for 1 minute and while it is active your unarmed strikes deal additional +2 lightning damage
-when you deal damage with a flurry of blows while this ability is active you can force the target back 10ft if they fail a strength saving throw against your ki save DC
Lightning Rod
At 3rd level you are granted resistance to lightning damage, when you take lightning damage you can use your reaction to absorb half the damage you take (you still only take half lightning damage) you may then redirect the lightning back into the foe that attacked you
-you may also choose to channel the lightning energy you absorb into your weapon and release it with your next attack
Lightning Counter
At 6th level, your body becomes charged with lightning and you are able to react quickly when you see an opening in an enemies defense
-when an enemy makes an attack on you and that attack misses you are now fast enough to act in the moment and use your reaction to counter the enemy with a melee attack or unarmed strike
-you can use this ability equal to your wisdom modifier, this ability resets on a long rest
Cloak of lightning
Beginning at 11th level, you can manifest your ki around your body, as a bonus action you can spend 2 ki points to channel your ki into a cloak of lightning that surrounds you for 1 minute, when an enemy deals damage to you they take lightning damage equal to your wisdom modifier (maximum of 5).
-while your cloak is active you can spend 1 ki point as an action to extend your lightning ki out further from you in the shape of a cone. This 15ft cone deals 6d8 lightning damage or half as much on a failed save, the enemies must make a dexterity saving throw against your ki save DC
Call of the Storm
At 17th level, you gain the ability to manifest the power of a lightning storm using your ki, to activate this form you must use an action and spend 7 ki points, while in this form lightning surges from your body and your eyes glow like a flash of lightning, this form lasts 1 minute.
-while in this form you are immune to all lightning damage and when attacking ignore lightning resistance.
-when you activate this form a massive bolt of lightning erupts from your body effecting the surrounding area, enemies in a 5ft radius of you must make a dexterity saving throw against your ki save DC, on a failed save they take 8d8 lightning damage or half as much on a successful save.
- when you move you move faster than the eye can see and do not provoke attacks of opportunity, once per turn when you move your first attack has advantage.
-all your abilities are supercharged while in this form, your Fists of lightning deal an additional 6d6 lightning damage once per turn , the cone expelled with you Cloak of lightning is now 30ft.
- if you have 5 or more combat rounds left in this form you can choose to release all the energy you have left, you can expend the remaining rounds left to shot out all of the lightning ki you have amassed in a 10ft wide 120ft long lightning attack, this deals 20d8 lightning damage plus your monk level, enemies must make a dexterity saving throw againsts your ki save DC, on a successful save they only take half damage.
-once you use this ability you are stunned for one round and cannot use it again for 1d6+your wisdom modifier amount of days(maximum of 11 days)

seems great
i was mostly saying random damage because nothing in the game does static damage N O T H I N G
Yeah been think of changing to maybe fists of Tempest, striking counter, storm cloak, to mix it up, and with fists, I thought flat damage would be better instead of additional dice but have been thinking of changing it to +1 flat damage and could spend a ki point to do lightning damage rolling an additional martial arts die, how does that sound?

this seems pretty cool the fist of lightning should be random amount of damage (say 1d4) and lightining rod could worded better
and this is a bit of a pet peeve but all of the features have lighting in the name except for 1
