Ranger
Base Class: Ranger

A Wolfbrother is a person who develops a relationship with wolves and some wolf-like characteristics. They will gradually develop golden eyes and very keen sight and hearing as well as an extraordinary sense of smell, able to discern other humans' and animals' emotions with considerable accuracy. They can also enter Ethereal plane or as they often call it the "wolf dream." Wolfbrothers can communicate with the souls of wolves who have died and gone there (as can other wolves). If one does not hold oneself firmly in mind as a man, one may begin to truly think of oneself as a wolf and go mad, behaving like a wolf in the Material Plane.

Wolf Bond

At 3rd level, you gain a wolf companion that accompanies you on your adventures and is trained to fight alongside you. Choose a wolf that is no larger than medium and that has a challenge rating of 1/2 or lower. Add your proficiency bonus to the wolf’s AC, attack rolls, and damage rolls, as well as to any saving throws and skills it is proficient in. Its hit point maximum equals the hit point number in its stat block or four times your ranger level, whichever is higher. Like any creature, it can spend Hit Dice during a short rest to regain hit points.

The wolf obeys your commands as best as it can. It takes its turn on your initiative. On your turn, you can verbally command the wolf where to move (no action required by you). You can use your action to verbally command it to take the [action]Attack[/bonus action], [action]Dash[/bonus action], [action]Disengage[/bonus action], or [action]Help[/bonus action] action. If you don't issue a command, the beast takes the [action]Dodge[/bonus action] action. Once you have the Extra Attack feature, you can make one weapon attack yourself when you command the wolf to take the [action]Attack[/bonus action] action.

If you are incapacitated or absent, the wolf acts on its own, focusing on protecting you and itself. The beast never requires your command to use its reaction, such as when making an opportunity attack.

While traveling through your favored terrain with only the wolf, you can move stealthily at a normal pace.

If the wolf dies, you can obtain a new companion by spending 8 hours magically bonding with a wolf that isn’t hostile to you and that meets the requirements.

Wolf Dream

During any long rest you must make a WIS saving throw with a fail DC of 10, if you fail your consciousness enters the Ethereal Plane against your will, this is very dangerous. however, while in the Ethereal Plane you may view a reflection of the Material Plane. You can not affect any creatures or objects in the Material Plane while you are in the Ethereal Plane, but the information gathered while viewing the reflection is mirrored in the Material Plane when awake.

Hunting Instinct

You gain the efficient and deadly hunting instincts of a wolf.

Wolves hunt by hamstringing their prey to cripple them, then crushing the throat for the kill.

you gain advantage on attack rolls targeting an enemies hamstring or throat.

Empathic Scent

Your sense of smell has progressed to that of a wolf, you are able to smell a creatures emotion/intent.

You have advantage on Insight ability checks against humanoids.

against any wolves, dogs, or hounds however you do not need to make an insight check, you are simply able to sense its intent through the Wolf Bond.

Wolf's Wrath

Starting at 11th level, when you command your beast companion to take the [action]Attack[/bonus action] action, the beast can make two attacks, or it can take the Multiattack action if it has that action.
