The Astral Soul is a subclass for those who know their soul, and can manipulate it. Creating arcane projections of weaponry and limbs that they use to blitz the battle field, leaving only dust in their wake. Originally developed by Commander Dresstar Luina of the Knights of the round Heavy cavalry corps. This special style of fighting takes years for the average soldier to effectively use. After several overwhelming victories against the Felltine armies on the western coast of Astras the KotR decided to employ this technique for wide spread use, most common soldiers held no aptitude for the art of Astral Projection, but those who did often became Great leaders and war heroes. After several years Information of the technique leaked to the public from an unknown source. Creating a small group of mercenaries that employ the technique of Astral Projection In their work, whether that be aiding the KotR forces on the frontline or eliminating a high priority targe

Level 3: Astral Form

You have gained the ability through studious fervor and battle hardened practice to create an astral projection of your inner soul. manifesting an extra ephemeral limb that can be used for a variety of purposes. this limb can appear anywhere on your body, and may be freely moved about as a free action. summoning or removing the limb takes a bonus action. otherwise the limb lasts until you dismiss it or fall unconscious.

Level 3: Projected Weapon

Training the use of your arcane form you have learned how to Project a weapon into your Ephemeral body, granting it magical properties and the ability to be summoned freely at any time. when used in tandem with the Astral form you are able to wield a third 1 handed weapon, or alternatively a 2 handed weapon and a singular 1 handed weapon. Any weapon may be Projected, but the properties of a Projected weapon differ between ranged and melee. The process of linking a weapon to your astral form takes three hours.

Melee Weapons Properties: When a melee weapon such as a short sword or dagger is projected it becomes part of your incorporeal form. As such it does not have the physical properties that it normally would have. The chosen weapon keeps it's original damage dice but the damage type changes to force damage. 

A Assimilated melee weapon can make a bonus melee attack as if you had the two weapon fighting style. Additionally, a projected melee weapon can make an unarmed attack a # of times = to your proficiency bonus. this unarmed strike also deals force damage.

Ranged Weapons Properties: When a ranged weapon is assimilated it keeps it's original damage dice, but the type of damage changes to force. When an assimilated ranged weapon makes a ranged attack it does not consume ammo, instead firing off a shot of magical energy, similar to the artillerist artificers force ballista. 

Additionally, the ranged weapon fires 2 arrows at a time instead of the bonus attack that melee weapons receive. both arrows must roll to hit the target. If one arrow misses you may instead choose to have it hit by combining it with the other arrow, forming a larger ballista bolt, this also doubles the damage of the arrow. This feature may be used a number of times equal to your proficiency bonus.

Assimilating Shields: When a shield is assimilated it takes up that arm, it no longer can carry a weapon. Assimilating a shield grants a flat +1 to AC.

Level 7: Additional Weapon

Through your gained experience you learn how to store up to 2 weapons in your astral form. If these weapons are 1 handed you may swap between them as a free action, for a two handed weapon the swap takes a bonus action 

Level 10: Arcane Absorption

Your partial mastery over the arcane allows you to absorb some of the properties of a magical weapon or armor piece. The number of Magical effects you can stack at once is limited to 3, and no more than two effects may be placed upon any weapon or shield. This feature requires 100 gold, and 5 hours of preparation for the ritual.

Level 15: Dislocated soul

You gain the ability to extend the range of your astral form through rigorous training. granting an additional 10 ft of range to your projected melee attacks and 30ft to your ranged attacks. 

Level 18: Master of Projection

You gain the ability to form a second astral limb, allowing you to wield 4 one handed weapons at once, or 2  two handed weapons. Additionally you are now able to hold 4 weapons in your astral form, and switching between them is a free action, regardless of weapon type. Two handed ranged weapons now require only one hand to be wield.
