Base Class: Sorcerer
The Astral Plane is a realm of endless silver horizons, where thought drifts freely and time itself seems to hold its breath. Within this vast expanse float the God-Isles—living worlds, divine remnants, and astral entities so immense that their presence alone shapes reality. Your bloodline is bound to this plane. Somewhere in your ancestry, a mortal life was forever changed by direct contact with a God-Isle or the raw essence of the Astral Sea, and that connection now flows through you.
Unlike scholars who bend magic through study, your power is instinctive and deeply personal. When you cast a spell, you do not shape the Weave through careful formulas. Instead, you reach outward—your soul stretching into the Astral Plane—and draw power directly from its endless reservoir. For a brief moment, the boundaries between worlds thin, and astral energy floods into the material realm through you.
This magic manifests in subtle but unmistakable ways. Your spells may shimmer with silvery light, leave afterimages like drifting stars, or momentarily suspend weight and momentum as if reality itself hesitates. To those who can perceive magic, you seem partially unmoored from the material world, your presence echoing faintly in the Astral Sea even when you stand firmly on solid ground.
Astral Percision
The astral forces bound to your blood briefly align your magic with cosmic certainty.
-
Once per long rest, when you make an attack roll as part of casting a sorcerer spell, you can enhance that roll with astral energy. You choose to do so after rolling but before knowing the result.
-
The bonus improves as you gain sorcerer levels:
-
Level 1: +1d4 to the attack roll
-
Level 5: +1d6 to the attack roll
-
Level 11: +1d8 to the attack roll
-
Level 17: The attack automatically hits, provided the target isn’t immune and the attack would normally be possible
-
Astral form
As an action, you can embrace the astral plane, entering an immortal-like state. While in this state:
-
You cannot take or deal damage.
- You cannot use any type of action.
-
You can move freely, including through solid objects.
-
You can observe your surroundings but cannot interact with them in any way.
This state lasts until the start of your next turn. You can use this feature a number of times equal to your proficiency bonus, and you regain all uses after a long rest. You can only use this feature once per battle.
Astral Reach
Harnessing the telekinetic pull of your island relative, you can manipulate objects without touching them.
-
You can move an unattended object weighing up to 10 pounds (or another weight you choose) up to 50 feet away from you as a bonus action.
-
You can move only one object at a time, and it must remain within your line of sight.
Astral Drift
The power of your island relative lifts you above the ground, allowing you to glide through the world as if gravity itself were optional.
-
You can hover at will, floating effortlessly above the ground. You may choose to walk normally if you wish.
-
While hovering, you gain advantage on Stealth checks.
-
You are immune to fall damage while hovering.
-
Your hovering speed is equal to your walking speed.
Astral Overload
The astral energy of your island relative surges through you, tearing at the fabric of reality itself.
-
Once per long rest, when you cast a spell of 1st level or higher that deals damage, you can unleash an Astral Overload:
-
Each creature of your choice within 20 feet of you must make a Dexterity saving throw or take force damage equal to twice your Sorcerer level (half as much on a successful save).
-
Immediately after the overload, you may teleport up to 50 feet to an unoccupied space you can see.
-
Astral Whisper
The astral energy of your island relative allows your thoughts to drift across space, reaching those you wish to speak with.
-
You can send a short, whispered message to any creature you can see within 120 feet. The creature can respond in kind, and only creatures aware of you can receive your messages.
