So I'm planning on playing Artificer soon and I want my main weapon to be Sheer Heart Attacks from Jojo's Bizarre Adventure. For those who don't know, Sheer Heart Attack is basically an indestructible heat seeking landmine on wheels that explodes when it makes contact with it's target. I was wondering if anyone had any ideas on how I could make this work. Thx!
Edit: I forgot to mention that it also says "Look over here" while it rolls toward its victim
Without homebrewing, the thing that comes to mind is the Artillerist, flavoring the look of the tiny cannon to meet what you want, you can use a ball bearing or something similar in conjunction with your magic tinkering to produce the "Look over here" sound.
Homebrew a homunculus servant, a bag of holding and some nasty contents to work together. Either that or just get the homunculus to fly above your opponents, given enough headroom, and get it to open the bag up to let the heavy contents fall. Otherwise preparing whatever might be allowed and can be homebrewed could supply materials to put into a payload as you like. Alternatively, maybe you could ask about homebrewing a homunculus on wheels and with improved haulage. A tinderbox configured to try to spark on impact might light some oily rags along with a large load of oil. Alchemists fire burns more fiercely. Dynamite etc. if allowed, could explode. You may want to work things either so that the homunculus survives or that you can check through any wreckage. There's a 100 gp gem or crystal at stake.
Actually, the Homunculus is a great idea and could be done without homebrew , as it has both a force attack, and more specifically can deliver touch attacks on your behalf, such as shocking grasp and inflict wounds
@ShrimpFriedBryce, You can use the spell Glyph of Warding in order to forge a perfect weapon similar to the explosive/weapon 'Sheer Heart Attack'. The spell requires a trigger to be activated which can be set to 'Thermal' trigger, also the first effect of the spell 'Explosive Runes' can be almost as good as actual explosives.
You can cast the spell on a 'Homunculus' companion which has been suggested previously, but I'll add another option that you can consider executing: 'Steel Defender' (Battle Smith Subclass).
The ""Sheer Heart Attack"" reference it's not from a Jojo's reference, it's instead of taken by a Queen's song with the same name, which videoclip includes some references to a criminal *** gangs ( nowadays all of them are jaded and jailed ), and also it's one of my fav songs from Queen.
If you want to provoke a big BOOM with a redirected bomb ( or similar ), I suggest you to spend some days with your char, or weeks, how the chart/chariot works. Then, build one with the enough measures to place there a barrel filled with blackpowder.
The rest of the work I left it at your own choice, братaн.

Besides being a quite expensive per use spell, it would not work well as heat seeking given this line from the spell description : "If the surface or object is moved more than 10 feet from where you cast this spell, the glyph is broken, and the spell ends without being triggered." Glyph of Warding is a great spell, but the limited range and 1hour casting would make it very limited if not useless in battle.

Its named after the Queen song because Jojo's has music references

This also sounds a little bit like a Flaming Sphere, but with the Flaming Sphere doing continuous damage.

It isn't as fancy as the others' solutions, but couldn't fire bolt just be reflavored to provide the desired aesthetics?
