I would love to use the detailed encumbrance rules for my campaign, especially since we're running it on DDB character sheets to a VTT, so a computer could do all the formerly tedious adding and subtracting and etc- but the problem I run into is that the weight is a simple sum of everything listed on their equipment page. I dont think their equipment page should be 1 :1 on what is being carried, but there's no way to distinguish "owned but not being physically carried" and actual things requiring strength to carry. Even if you unclick "use" or "wearing" etc, the sum doesnt change until you actually delete it from their sheet, which would cancel out the benefit of computerization (its even more cumbersome to delete and re-add the equipment every time you take something off or put it on). And technically you can add in "items" which weigh 500+ lbs a pop (e.g. Apparatus of Kwalish) but nobody believes for a moment that you are "carrying" the item.
I would love to see some nuance in the equipment section, or even a breakdown between Worn/Carried and Possessions. I know there's a text/memo field for "everything else" but I would prefer there to be a quick way to segregate On Person vs On Transport/Cart/Vault without having to delete the item and track it another way so that the encumbrance system works out.
(this brings to mind, too, the problem with integrating the Bag of Holding / Portable Hole / Hewards Handy Haversack which help reduce character carried weight, but in DDB's calculations only hurt because everything is treated as Carried. Is this something we could add to a changelist soon?

They know. They are working on inventory enhancements. There is no announced ETA, so don’t ask.
