I'm attempting to make a homebrew item, and I specifically need to add the Ammunition property to it. Every other property appears to be in the list, but this one is missing. Can that be corrected?
To be clear, it's not an option for me to base my creation off an item that already has the Ammunition property. I need to be able to add the Ammunition property to a base weapon that doesn't have it.
I also noticed that the Reload and Misfire properties are likewise missing. I do have access to the Explorers of Wildemount content. Likewise I believe they should be available.

Reload and Misfire are not official weapon properties, but rather homebrew from Matt Mercer. They are not present in Explorer's Guide to Wildemount, but the standalone Gunslinger subclass which is not official.

At the moment our homebrew system does not support the ability to create homebrew ammunition. This may change at some point in the future, but unfortunately I don't have an ETA as to when that would be. Sorry about that!
Edit: To clarify, this also means you would not be able to add the Ammunition property to homebrew items.

I believe they were referring to the inability to add the ammunition property to a homebrewed weapon as it is not an available Modifier Subtype.

I probably should have clarified my post a bit - I meant to include that what I said includes not being able to set/utilize that property in the homebrew fields.

While that maybe true with where those properties came from, Firearms are within the Dungeon Master's Workshop within the DMG, and Reload/Misfire Properties have been added since its an optional Proficiency for Artificer's if the DM has it in their world, this is listed within the Wayfinder's Guide to Eberron under Artificers. So it is far from being stand alone and non-official, only the Gunslinger itself is UA at this time. I will also point out that Tasha's also made Firearms official canon within the DnD Multiverse with the introduction of the former UA Feat of Gunner, which involves Firearms.
The issue it creates by not having such a Property in there, or being able to even edit Range in items that do have it is it severely limits what you are able to do within the Homebrew when there are feats that impact such if you need to Homebrew a work around on something missing the property, such as Palm Pistol.
PS: The example of Palm Pistol is a bad one for me to have used, reasons will be seen in another post in a few.
Waiting for it myself. Just made a homebrew pistol that lets you cycle through making its damage type Fire, Cold, Lightning or Thunder damage using a Bonus Action and need to add the Reload and Misfire scores for it.

3 years is a long time to wait for this feature. Any chance it'll be here soon?
