I may be wrong but is the HD number not supposed to be equal to the character level?

When I create a lvl1 character, the Short Rest dialog contains 2 tick boxes. If I level them up to lvl2 it contains 3 boxes. Why is it adding one extra?

Can you please post a link to your character sheet so that someone can look into this for you?

This is the first character I noticed it in, but I created a brand new one and it has the same behaviour.

Just to be clear, I can’t personally look into it for you. I’m not a moderator, so I can’t interact with your character sheet to actually see how many hit dice the character has. However, for a Mod to look into this they will need that URL.

I also have this issue with a multi class 8th level monk 3rd level barbarian where I see 9 monk dice and 4 barbarian dice
