Perhaps I'm missing something, but selecting "Superior Technique" as your fighting style doesn't lead to a prompt allowing you to select the maneuver you want, nor is a usage added to your character sheet. It merely lists that you selected that style. Since a fighter going on to have additional maneuvers as a Battle Master at 3rd level needs to keep track of which maneuvers only have a d6, this seems like a significant omission.
Fighting Style - Superior Technique. Not functional. We don't currently have a sensible way of implementing the selection of maneuvers that wouldn't cause characters to become broken in the future. We're working on a solution for this known issue.
i think there’s a work around, but I’m not remembering the specifics.

Thank you for confirming the issue. Please let me know, if you happen to run into the workaround.
The workaround is to make a homebrew copy of the Martial Adept feat and change the Number of Options from 2 to 1.
