In our current session due to my Wizard falling behind my DM has decided to give my character a Flesh Golem and also to allow her to equip and use weapons.
Because that is the case I've decided to make a character sheet for her as seen here
I was able to make her character sheet and decided on Human and Fighter while overwriting the max HP to be appropriate.
Right now I am trying to figure out how to create Slam as an action she can use.
I was first able to flawlessly create the 2D8 + 4 she was able to need as a custom Melee Action but I realized that doing so did not allow me to create a +7 for the Hit DC. As I could at best make it a +6 by using her strength stat and making her Proficient.
Some Googling told me that people generally used weapons to modify Hit DC now, so I went and took a Club and started changing it but the only thing I was really able to modify was the Hit DC and the Bonus damage added to the die, I could not figure out how to actually change the Dice used and amount.
Is there a better way for me to be doing this?
Especially don't like modifying the weapon as a lot of the time it resets or doesn't take, I noticed when I opened the profile up again the modifications got wiped compared to my custom action which is still there. Ideally I'd just figure out how to modify the hit there.
I found a temporary work around for now, I can strangely easily modify the hit/DC on my normal unarmed hit so I changed it to +7 attack. But I can't change the dice roll or damage, so I'll just click the +7 to hit and then roll Slam for damage.
A bit clunky but it can work, any idea on how to combine them into one action though so I don't potentially confuse myself in the actual game?
Within Dnd beyond I don't believe this is possible, however, you can always look at the monster sheet and do the math yourself. Taking into account for the changes to AC and health with leveling. Assuming that you are infact leveling up and have a class.
I would recommend just using the monster sheet and make a cheat sheet for the AC and weapons differences.
That's fair, I can add her in the extras of my Wizard so I'll always have her character sheet and can roll using a separate site. Still I think I'll keep my existing character sheet.
As it makes easy to keep track of Neurotic damage as well as any items she ends up carrying. And while not ideal to have two actions instead of one it's still a lot faster than having to manually add in modifiers and everything on a separate rolling site.
At this point there's only a few things I couldn't translate like her saving throw advantage against spells. I'll have to see if I can't make custom skills or something to give her as at that point I'll have done it all.
