Hi, so every time I make a new character with rolled HP (and sometimes when I level up a character with rolled HP), the "rolled" part defaults to 12. No matter what level the character is, no matter if it's new or old, almost every time I make any changes to character level, it messes up the HP. It even sets the rolled HP at 12 for level1 characters with d8 or d10 hit die, even though it's not mechanically possible for them to have that much HP.
Is there a workaround? Am I forgetting to click something?
That happens if you select “manual HP” before you pick your class. If you don’t pick your class first, it doesn’t know what the hit die should be so it defaults to the highest possible die which is the Barbarians’ d12. If you pick your class first and then pick manual HP, then it should prevent that from happening.
(Unless some new glitch has popped up that I am unaware of yet.)
