I'm a monk open hand, level 6 and when I open the short rest window in dndbeyond it's showing my hit die as 1d8+2 and I'm wondering where the +2 is coming from. I can't seem to find any feature that would add a modifier to my hit die. Am I missing something obvious, is there some type of feature that would do that?
Hi,

Thanks,

The +2 should be your Constitution modifier. It's added whenever you roll your hit dice, and not a class specific thing.
The ever growing document of character concepts can never be too long, can it?
Oh I'm not sure how I missed that. Thanks!
