I was trying to come up with an idea for a melee spellcaster with the Sorc as the core of the build. I thought of making a Sorlock, but there are a few issues that arise with the party such as a Twilight Cleric. :D
TL;DR I wanted to build a Melee Sorc similar to the Sorcerer in Black Desert Online. I thought sorlock would best represent this.
The Core concept of this build is the RP of the character. The goal was to let the party do their thing and at opportunistic times run in and burst a lot of damage and bail out using dark arts. I wanted to create the suspense of a character that isn't too keen on just jumping into the fray and making the party question if I'm there to help or there to watch them die while in combat. While keeping the magical evil mysteriousness that a dark magic users would project.
The normal Sorlock Hexblade, pact of the Tome, elven accuracy, etc was fitting to this. But I don't really want to go with a "cookie cutter" build. I'm open to almost anything so long as it meets the criteria below:
1: Must maintain the evil magical presence RP 2: Must be a melee enthusiast while using dark, magical spells. 3: Must be burst damage.
Attempt to keep Sorcerer as the core of the build. However switching to another class can be just as viable. I went with Sorcerer mainly because of Metamagic's Quickened Spell and Twinned Spell
Neither sorc or warlock are burst damage. You're thinking of a Paladin.
The sorcadin (sorcerer paladin) is the most powerful multiclass in D&D 5th. They're built for melee burst damage. With the right build a sorcadin can solo a dragon.

Yea, what he said.
Divine soul sorcerer with spirit guardians up, quickening a nasty spell and then using your action to smite? Oh boy.
