I wanted to create an Aasimar (Fallen or Protector) Sorcerer with the Draconic bloodline, as a descendant of both Tiamat and Bahamut.
However, I encountered a problem when I wondered what would happen if this character had their dragon wings active, and used Radiant Soul/Necrotic Shroud at the same time.
Would they get two sets of wings, or would the wings merge somehow?
Dnd 5e you can do anything! But I have a few questions for you. 1) Tiamut and Bahamut are brother and sister and they hate each other. How did you happen? Are you metallic or chromatic? Something else? 2) Aasimar are more or less latent/dormant angel genes mixed in human bloodlines. Now if you're just min/maxing traits to get the sorcerer you think is cool, I'm down for that, but could you explain your character to me?
I would probably do something like they merge. Like you grow your fallen wings and then activate the dragon and you watch as the skelital wings turn into the wings of a dragon. Not sure how you could do it the other way maybe make some bones stick out? As the fallen are cosmetic only then i dont see a problem with them merging. (yes ik im two years late but im running a assimar sorc atm so i thought i would comment)
Hello, made my first character ever for DnD on line. Had no idea what i was doing.
I went with an Aasimar Sorcerer. I chose Silver Dragon b/c i have never heard of a Silver Dragon. Persuasive, Insight
15,13,12,10,8 default scores I used 15 for intelligence and 8 for strength. i only have 3 kill points to start. Showed my character sheet to some experienced players and they thought it had potential but to stay back behind the fighter warriors b/c of the low hit points (3).
3 hit points? How?! You start at 6 + con mod, which even if you put 8 in con would be 5. You gain a minimum 1 every level up no matter what you roll/con mod. And dragon sorc gives +1 hp per level, so you should be at 11 hp at the absolute minimum.

Check it out and see how they have 3/3 hit points.
1. I can't just search for Garganis and find the character sheet. Provide a link or something, or just explain it in words.
2. It's not possible in D&D 5th Edition for you to have only 3 hp. Even if you had a Con Score of 3 (the lowest you can get) , your absolute minimum would be 6 HP. If you have less then you're using Homebrew rules that are functionally terrible or just not understanding the rules.

For some reason I thought you said the character was level 3. So, yes, level 1 with Con Score 3 would result in 3 hp.
Have to wonder why your Con Score has been overridden to 3, though? It should be 8. I can see you chose Standard Array and put 8 in for Con (a strange choice to begin with, you should never have a Con less than 10, but your choice). However a manual override has been added to set the score to 3. Why?
If your don't have a reason for deliberately overriding your score as 3, then it should be 8 and your starting HP would be 6 hp.

I did not override anything. i don't think, have no idea how to do that.
Would have liked to roll my scores but don't have a set if dice yet.
Didn't know much. Thought a Sorcerer should be smarter than stronger. Appreciate the help. Will let the DM know the 3 should be an 8 and my HP is 6 hp.

D&D Beyond has a set of dice built in to the sheet. But, admittedly, not the best for generating scores. There is a forum Play-By-Post which has the thread for Rolling Dice. There you can use the forum dice roller to create scores for your character. When you make a post at the top is a bar for formatting , click the icon at the right side: a black box with 3 white dots. It lets you choose what type of rolls you want and adds code into the post that will be "rolled". Once posted if you edit and change anything about those rolls the thread gets a banner, so you can't cheat. The first post in that thread explains more. It's very useful. On your character sheet you can add the link to that post in the Notes field for reference (you can get the link from the posts' number in top-right of it).
For example,
If I go there, and click the icon, then ability scores then OK...
I can put that link in the character's Notes box. When I go to Abilities in the character builder I can choose "Manual/Rolled" to manually type them in. This lets me roll scores and provide proof of the roll for DMs.

Con isn't Strength. A sorc needs Charisma as it is their stat used for spellcasting and they need Con for health and for maintaining concentration on spells if they get hurt. Dex is also useful as it adds to AC. Strength, Int and Wisdom are less important for Sorcs. Strength is basically the dump stat for most.

You do know that you should have 6 scores for abilities not 5 right? Looking at your character sheet I assume the missing number is 14.
If that is the case I recommend you rearrange your stats as follows: 8 Strength (dump stat because you are a caster), 14 Dexterity (good little bump for initiative rolls and gets you to 15 AC), 12 Constitution (I would prefer a higher score here but we work with what we have and draconic bloodline does give an extra 1 hp per level) 10 Intelligence (in a perfect world this would be higher but this is probably the 2nd least useful stat for a sorcerer so it gets the 2nd lowest score), Wisdom 13 (gets bumped up to 14 from your racial modifier so you get a nice +2 modifier to Wisdom related stuff), Charisma 15 (gets bumped up to 17 from racial modifier, this is your most important stat as a sorcerer so it gets the highest stat you have)
This sets you up with final starting stats of STR 8 DEX 14 CON 12 INT 10 WIS 14 CHA 17.
Here are some general tips for playing a Sorcerer. If you have a stat with a odd number like your CHA you can take a feat that grants a +1 to CHA (also known as half feats) like Fey Touched to round it up to a even number and boost the modifier. That 12 CON will probably bite you in the ass later so I suggest pumping ASI points into CON after you maxed CHA.

It sounds neat, but I'm betting the two don't stack. The 2nd probably either ends the first or the first blocks the 2nd from being used until it ends.

Character's name is Garganis.
Check it out and see how they have 3/3 hit points.

You did.
From your sheet. I'll point to it.
On sheet, click on your Constitution score. Where it says override score, click the 3 and delete it so the box is blank. Click out back to your sheet.

It'll add the code into my post:
I can just add the character name, in this case "Test Character For Garganis" and then save. It will roll the rolls and create a result.
In the top right is the post number, if I right-click and copy link I get the post's direct link: https://www.dndbeyond.com/forums/d-d-beyond-general/play-by-post/2985-rolling-dice?comment=3343

Actually the sheet tells you what he put for what, it shows as "base score".
For Con he put the base score as 8. The 14 he put as Dex.
His scores, before Racial ASIs:
STR: 10 | DEX: 14 | CON: 8 | INT: 15 | WIS: 12 | CHA: 13
His Racial Bonuses were +1 WIS and +2 CHA
I do agree with your suggestions on where they should put their stats, though.

You guys have been great. I will see about fixing my scores to your suggestions.
Was selecting the Silver Dragon a good choice for a Sorcerer?
I changed my scores to ThelonelyMagi's recomendations.
This raised hit points from 3 to 8. I can work with that.
Appreciate the help.
